Welcome to a new week of MLB action. Tonight’s slate has nine games, including a few that should be high scoring with Arizona in Colorado, Seattle at Texas, and San Francisco travelling to Houston. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free sleeper pick comes from the Washington Nationals. Howie Kendrick ($4,000 on Draft Kings, $2,500 on FanDuel) sports a 1.500 SLG over the last week versus left-handed pitching and will face Steven Matz of the Mets tonight. In a meeting last week Kendrick had four hits including a home run. With Juan Soto ($5,000 on Draft Kings, $4,100 on FanDuel) back in the lineup, the Nationals offence has proven they can score runs.
Pitching DFS Picks For August 10, 2020
If you’re looking to pay up for pitching tonight, Patrick Corbin ($10,400 on Draft Kings, $10,800 on FanDuel) is easily the best pitcher on the slate. He has eight strikeouts in each of his last two outings against the Mets, and with the Mets suffering further injuries, we could see more than ten strikeouts tonight.
As for a pitcher at a lower price point Dallas Keuchel ($7,800 on Draft Kings, $7,800 on FanDuel) isn’t a bad pick. The Tigers strikeout more than any other team in the league, and are around the middle of the league in runs scored. There should be at the very least a win here for Keuchel, and maybe some nice strikeout gravy too.
Infield DFS Picks For August 10, 2020
Texas gets to face the woeful Seattle Mariners tonight at home. In this matchup, using a player like Nick Solak ($4,200 on Draft Kings, $2,800 on FanDuel) can really pay off. Seattle gives up the most runs per game at nearly six, and the third most home runs per game at 1.68. To speak directly to Solak, he has a 0.364 SLG over the last seven days against right handed pitching, and should see plenty of at bats tonight.
When it comes to a player who is a little pricier, why not look to Yoan Moncada ($4,500 on Draft Kings, $3,500 on FanDuel). Moncada has 0.519 SLG in the last week against right-handed pitching, and has a 0.302 average on the year. The White Sox face the Tigers tonight, so expect there to be runs.
Outfield DFS Picks For August 10, 2020
It is going to be hard to avoid Colorado on a good night, but when they are facing a team in Arizona that gives up the most home runs in the league, you’re going to need at least one share. If you can only choose one, Charlie Blackmon ($5,800 on Draft Kings, $4,400 on FanDuel) should be that player. Blackmon has a 0.643 average and a 1.000 SLG in the last week versus lefties. This is a prime match-up for him.
Another Ranger to look at tonight is Joey Gallo ($4,700 on Draft Kings, $4,000 on FanDuel). Gallo is consistently a threat to hit one out of the park, and the Mariners pitcher Justin Dunn is giving up nearly four home runs per game so far. Gallo could have a big night tonight at home.
