The Carolina Hurricanes just showed us why they deserve to be in the playoffs and may make a deep run. It was an impressive comeback victory over the Nashville Predators who head home until October. The Toronto Maple Leafs drop a heartbreaker in overtime to the Montreal Canadiens who have forced a game six in their own barn. There will not be fans but home ice still has its advantages.

Today we only have one game but it is a big one. Game sevens in the Stanley Cup Playoffs are one of sports greatest treasures. Absolutely everything is on the line tonight for the Minnesota Wild and the Vegas Golden Knights. One team moves on to the second round and the other starts planning their summer vacations. We wish there was an extra bet we could make to say that this will go to overtime or not because it certainly feels like it will have to. Even if you do not watch a lot of hockey, tune into this one, it will be worth it.

Cam Talbot and Marc-Andre Fleury are going to battle tonight. Make no mistake, whichever goalie blinks first is the team that is going home. Flower has years of experience in this department but Talbot is just on right now. A lot of fans would hate it, but we are rooting for a 1-0 win either way.

Mark Stone is dearly missing Max Pacioretty right now. He has an impressive fill in with Alex Tuch but Patches would probably have ended this series by now. Stone is going to be an absolute madman on the ice tonight. If there is a whiff of the puck he is going to be in on it. We would not be surprised to see him hit twenty minutes of ice time tonight.

Here’s a north star lineup For DFS Hockey 5/28/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CaptainC. Talbot$15,600
FlexM. Stone$9,800
FlexJ. Eriksson Ek$7,200
FlexJ. Spurgeon$6,800
FlexM. Foligno$5,400
FlexJ. Greenway$5,200

Joel Eriksson Ek and his linemates have a monumental task ahead of them. They are very well built to achieve it though with size, speed and skill on full display. Ek will get you shots and hopefully get on the scoresheet and play hero once more.

Jared Spurgeon is a beast of a defenseman. He eats shots for breakfast. He has one of the higher floors on the board today because he is a little more of a stay at home blue liner. That said he does have power play one time and gets the occasional point.

Marcus Foligno is a really nice blend of power forward that has a ton of skill to back up his size. He complements his linemates well and will be all over the ice protecting Ek while also being a threat to score.

Jordan Greenway. That is correct. We are going with the full stack with Minnesota’s top line today. They will be grinding away at Vegas and continuing to shut them down. This line plays well against Stone and his crew with a tenacity that not many other lines can muster.
