NHL DFS Picks For October 22, 2021

The Winnipeg Jets finally got their goaltender a good game. It of course comes on the heels of us saying to wait on taking him, but Freddie Andersen did everything for you we said he would. All our free forwards for you today have been putting up gaudy totals and everyone behind the paywall are capable of that, but are looking to breakthrough. Come check out who we are eyeing and slap the top of the leaderboards at the end of the day.

Here’s a gnarly lineup For DFS Hockey 10/22/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Defense
DefenseM. Heiskanen$4,000
GoalieL. Ullmark$8,100
Utility

We would be remiss not to point out the obvious storyline of Linus Ullmark playing his former team. The Boston Bruins signed him from the Buffalo Sabres over the summer in a bid to cover Tuukka Rask’s potential departure. This is also his first game of the season as Jeremy Swayman has earned the starting role for the first two. Somehow the B’s have already found themselves another fantastic 1A/1B situation.

Anze Kopitar is just doing Kopitar things and thriving at 34 years old. There is a renewed energy in Los Angeles with a lot of younger blood but they are still all in Anze’s shadow. With the matchup against a weird group of goalies in Dallas, we are happy to take this shot.

The names do not fully fit in our table, but William Nylander and Jesse Puljujarvi could easily be your top winger. Nylander is at a point a game and the other big man has two per game. Astounding numbers to start the season. William benefits from top power play time but Jesse skates with McDavid. Who do you choose?

The biggest knock on Miro Heiskanen is that he sometimes has trouble keeping top power play time. He has three points so far this season in four games and one of those was on the man advantage. He is a cheap roll and could easily go big against LA especially if Quick is in net.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• A blueliner that will be shooting en masse until he scores
• Which Boston depth center to grab and a backup for your utility spot
• Early access to all the new talent that is going to blow the socks off the NHL. Stay ahead of the competition at FantasyDFSExperts.com. Six months, just $99. What are you waiting for?

Alex Pietrangelo cannot be contained for much longer. You can see it in the fact that he had six shots last game. He does not even just want an assist, he wants to score a goal. This cannon will be firing until it happens and he is on our must add list.

A couple cheap centers that you can compare are Roope Hintz and Erik Haula. Hintz, like Pietrangelo, is not going to stay pointless forever and this is a crazy bargain. Haula is on the third line of the Bruins, which we normally stay away from, but they are looking like they will have a field day against the Sabres. Deploy the bears.

Old faithfuls to keep in your back pocket will be Zach Hyman and Jonathan Marchessault. Their stocks will be rising so buy early. Hyman is a great stack with

Puljujarvi and Marchessault maintains top line duties for the foreseeable future. They should easily plug in anywhere in your lineup.

Not to confuse the issue too much, but we did have some late ideas for you to consider. If you feel like the Sabres are going to flip the script on the Bruins, it will likely happen through Rasmus Asplund and Tage Thompson. These two have been turning heads and have forced their way higher into the lineup.

There is an absurd amount of young talent that is going to push aside some veterans and make quick names for themselves. Have you seen how many of the 2020 class are NHL rostered already?! Let us know on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) how you did and have yourself a great Friday.

So, what did you think?
