The Philadelphia Flyers came up huge and our main goalie pick Carter Hart stood tall to take a big win over the Seattle Kraken. We probably should have gone with Travis Konecny who is taking a big step this year, there are just so many players to choose from! Speaking of which, there are 11 games for us to sift through today. We will be starting with a solid goalie option who should give you confidence to build your team around. If you are looking to narrow down some of your options, focus on the Edmonton Oilers game as the Anaheim Ducks played last night and went to overtime. Tie goes to the rested team.
By the way, one of our cheap guys yesterday scored a goal and the other had five shots. Not a big deal. We are not giving up who they are for free though, get on board and find all the best advice on the other side of the paywall.

There is almost no reason to not start Mike Smith tonight. He is still playing very well behind a team that can score almost at will. The only thing that would give us pause is that there just may not be a ton of shots to stop so we feel like his ceiling is maybe a little lower than we would like for the price.
You will probably only be able to afford one high end defenseman and we are looking at Aaron Ekblad and Cale Makar. Ekblad is already off to a ballistic start with two goals in two games and has an assist to boot. Makar is a little behind, potentially due to MacKinnons absence but he has still been getting shots, blocks, and an assist. He cannot be kept quiet for long.
You could potentially afford both of these guys but it might start stretching the budget a little thin. T. J. Oshie is just a consistent producer and scary good hockey player. He is also way stronger than he looks. After Lapierre scored his first goal the other day, he crashed into the boards and then was ripped back up to standing by T.J. He does it all. Cole Caufield is a little snakebit to start the season but he has averaged three shots a game. One of those is going in soon and against the Sharks is a pretty good bet.
Caufield will also be nice to stack with Nick Suzuki who has exactly the same stat line. They are ready to pop. They will be facing Adin Hill who got traded over the summer from the Coyotes organization. Hill is a young goalie who has not cemented his place in the NHL and may be allowing a lot of goals this season.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Another goalie that is higher risk, but much higher reward
• A bigger name center and the usual pool of low cost sleepers
• We are offering a new package for six months! Both NHL and NBA are just getting started while we are in the midst of the NFL season and MLB post-season. Get in while the getting is good for only $99!
Ilya Sorokin has had a difficult start to the season. While Varlamov is sidelined, Sorokin has been in net for the Islanders. Do not worry though, he is still a world class goalie and just needs to settle in. The Blackhawks will be peppering him with shots which gives him the opportunity to get you a ton of fantasy points.
Mark Scheifele has served his one game suspension and gotten one game under his belt. When he starts clicking with linemates Kyle Connor and Blake Wheeler he will be a point per game player. If you aren’t going after McJesus you can save some coin and feel good about Scheif.
We have four different wingers of varying costs that could help bolster your team. A little on the high end is Zach Hyman who plays on Edmonton’s top line. He is exactly the type of player that they were expecting. Gritty, hard working and a nose for the net. Yegor Sharangovich will be a name you start hearing more often. He had a quiet breakout season last year for New Jersey and the Devils are expected to be better this year. Alexander Radulov is very mispriced here. That is an astounding value for a top line winger in Dallas. Do not miss out. Last but not least we have for you Andrew Copp who you should absolutely stack with Scheifele. He is taking Wheeler’s spot while he is out of the lineup and always plays up when called upon.
Enjoy all the value. These are the kinds of players that even if they do not score a ton of points tonight, they will be soon. Stick with us and we will get you some huge nights. We are on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and you know what today is. May all your taco dreams come true.
