NHL DFS Picks For November 5, 2021

Leon Draisaitl DFS

Patrice Bergeron had four goals last night. Sorokin had a 35+ save win. Our floor guy got an assist and a few shots. That is just Thursday for us here. The playing pool is reduced a bit today with only five games on the slate. If the Arizona Coyotes are going to wing their first game this is the one to do it. The Edmonton Oilers and the Winnipeg Jets are the favorites from what is left. Let’s dive in.

Here’s a fast lineup For DFS Hockey 11/5/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Leon Draisiaitl is such an interesting case. As much as McDavid is the clearly better player, Drai still has almost as many fantasy points and is $1,000 cheaper. Sure you could go for the big one but do you need to?

Goalies are kind of a crapshoot today. No one really stands out except for Cal Petersen. The young Los Angeles goalie has started his season off well, in a time where everyone is expecting this to be the year that he fully takes the starter crown from Jonathan Quick. To be fair, he started 60% of last year’s games, everyone just failed to notice. This year is clear.

Kyle Connor is a goal scoring machine. We have known about this for years but it is enw to us that he can muster up some assists as well. Seven goals, seven assists in nine games. That is elite.

We are taking all the talent for our freebies today. There is still thought behind them but we have to keep the true secrets behind the paywall. Adam Fox will be a finalist for the Norris again this year. He is over a point per game as a defenseman. The only other player who could probably pull that off is Cale Makar, who is still on IR. We will figure out how to afford him, you cannot afford to not take him.

Here Is What You Get If You Sign Up For $99 For Six Months
• Value, value, value. We know who is killing it on the cheap.
• Do you have the stones to put in this backup goalie?
• The best daily fantasy advice on the world wide web with columns from every part of the sports universe.

Eric Comrie has a big night ahead of him. Connor Hellebuyck is out and that means someone has some big skates to fill. He is a high risk pick, but he will have goal support in front of him from the likes of Kyle Connor. We are also big believers in guys stepping up in those rare moments where they have to.

Paul Statsny is surprisingly cheap here. Sure he does not block many shots or even take that many but he is part of a powerful team that scores frequently. He has found himself on the stat sheet seven times in nine games. What are you waiting for?

A couple guys from Los Angeles that are worth your consideration today because you are on a tight budget. Lias Andersson and Adrian Kempe are left wingers and Lias is on the top line! For $2,500! Kempe is still more likely to get you points and costs a bit more, but we promise they are being set up for success.

As you fill out your blue line, keep an eye onShayne Gostisbehere and Hampus Lindholm. These are among names you will not find in our articles often but even playing against each other they both have good matchups. Ghostbear was a wunderkind who has dealt with injuries but still made a decent career for himself. Lindholm is also a 2012 draft pick who has put together a modest statsheet in the NHL. You can even spend a couple hundred more on Oliver Ekman-Larsson who is enjoying his own personal renaissance in Vancouver.

Friday is here and we are ready for a weekend full of zambonis and anthems. Are you following us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX)? Take care of yourselves and have a great day.
