Twenty eight out of thirty two teams play today. Fourteen matchups are going to leave us so stuffed we will have trouble filling our faces tomorrow. Just kidding, we will be comatose from turkey and stuffing.

There is no way we are going after Kuemper again until we see the last game far in the rearview mirror. As a little holiday gift we are going to tell you two goalies here for free that we are choosing between. Ilya Samsonov and the Washington Capitals are cruising along as they always do. They are perennial cup contenders and still have the greatest goal scorer on the planet on their team.Tristan Jarry and the Penguins are a little similar though their window may be closer to closing. They probably have the better matchup between the two, but we will let you figure out what works for you.
Kyle Connor should be a household name by now. When do they start announcing All Star selections? Will there even be an All Star game this year? It doesn’t matter for now, just get this dude in your lineup and watch the shot totals tick up every single shift.
The Buffalo Sabres time honored tradition of starting off the year strong and starting to fall of later has begun. The Bruins had a rough game against the Flames and are going to need to take out the frustration on the Sabres. Patrice Bergeron will need to be the one to lead them to victory.

Tomas Hertl gets a little more hate on the internet than we totally understand. He is a fantastic player and is a core piece of the San Jose Sharks. This is low key one of our favorite matchups of the evening. It should be a very close game.
Patric Hornqvist somehow manages to produce regardless of the line he is on or the ice time he gets. He is one of those cogs in the machine that you do not always notice until it’s gone. The Panthers fourth line is scary if that is where he is finding himself.
You could probably have guessed that we would go after Quinn Hughes today. Sure Vancouver as a whole is struggling mightily, but the front office is doing what it can to help the players right the ship. Hughes is also one a multi game skid and that is just not sustainable for a player of his caliber.
Between Tim Stützle and Artem Zub you should be able to take a utility player that is cheap but has great upside. Stützle is seeing great ice time and as a young man that was drafted second overall is very eager to score big goals and earn the limelight. Zub may have a hard time getting recognized outside of Ottawa but he has been a little blessing on the backend. He works incredibly hard and has a solid peripheral floor to work from.
