The Toronto Maple Leafs face elimination today and it is not a game that they will have 100 percent confidence in. There were up three to one in the series and the Montreal Canadiens battled back to a game seven. Jake Muzzin is out for a few weeks which is a big loss on their blue line and Matthews and Marner seem to have disappeared. They are still getting a lot of shots but cannot find the back of the net. Expect viewership of this game to be astronomical. We will certainly be tuning in.

Patrice Bergeron continues to make subtly incredible plays. It can be hard to notice if you are not paying attention to his game and the million and one things he does that are not just good but great. After rewatching the highlights we noticed that one goal by Pastrnak was set up by what looks to be a designed rebound. It was not the first time in the game that Bergeron had seemingly carelessly flung the puck at the net and had it bounce to Pasta. Expect more highlight reel goals from the top line.
David Pastrnak. It does not take a rocket surgeon to figure out that Pastrnak has been undervalued on DraftKings. He piled up three goals for his first playoff hat trick and all of them were spectacular. The patience on display was a real treat to watch. Taylor Hall barreling into the defense to open up space was also great but Pasta is on another level right now.
Jeff Petry. We do not want to go too heavy on the Bruins tonight and like Petry’s chances. The Maple Leafs are on the ropes and with Jake Muzzin out there is an even better chance that they are eliminated. Petry is a great all around defenseman that puts up those floor numbers we covet so much. There will be an added urgency to putting pucks on net and Petry will gladly unleash hell.
Tuukka Rask. The Islanders offense is a little stagnant right now and a big part of that is their top line. No Anders Lee and a struggling Mat Barzal are not going to elevate Jordan Eberle. They can still turn it around but they have to go through one of the best netminders in the league.

Here’s a steady lineup For DFS Hockey 5/31/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Center | P. Bergeron | $7,500
Center | N. Foligno | $3,800
Wing | D. Pastrnak | $7,900
Wing | M. Marner | $7,700 | |
Wing | J. Debrusk | $3,400 | |
Defense | J. Petry | $5,400
Defense | Pelech | $3,300 | |
Goalie | T. Rask | $8,300 | |
Utility | J. Thornton | $2,600 |
Nick Foligno – C is back on the second line and has some fantastic weapons on his wings. Nylander has been playing out of his mind and even with Galchenyuk’s brain fart that lost the game, he has been playing very well. This game is the reason they brought him on board. He may have to steady the ship and be the leader if Matthews cannot figure it out.
Mitch Marner – W. We managed to afford this kid and we sort of have to play him. He has not been playing poorly, he just needs to settle things down and play his game. It seems obvious but if they cannot win a game like this then they are never going to win a cup.
Jake Debrusk – W is a bit of a gamble but remember his explosion to start the playoffs. Like Marner he has been getting shots and just not lucky enough to score. With Craig Smith still sidelined, Debrusk gets the opportunity to play with Taylor Hall and David Krejci. He has familiarity with Krejci already and Hall’s playmaking ability should make for quick chemistry.
Adam Pelech – D. We went for Pelech for the usual shots and blocks and he rewarded us with a goal! And what a goal it was. This dude has an absolute cannon. He will try and recreate that again tonight if not to create rebound chances for his teammates.
Joe Thornton – U. An old fourth line veteran? Yes, indeed. Thornton is getting some power play one time and plays on a surprisingly skilled bottom line. Engvall has stepped up his game here at the end of the regular season and into the playoffs. Spezz continues to Spezza and they may be called upon to be the deciding factor. Depth wins championships.
