Take a long slow inhale and follow that up with a long slow exhale. Everything just got turned up a notch. The Montreal Canadiens have forced a Game 7 in their first round war with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Meanwhile the Boston Bruins stomped on the New York Islanders in their first game of the second round. Today we have for you two more second round starts and they are doozies. The Carolina Hurricanes face the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Colorado Avalanche are up against the Vegas Golden Knights. These could all be Stanley Cup final matchups and it is the second round. One more long inhale and long exhale.

Here’s a frosty lineup For DFS Hockey 5/30/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$8,600
Center
WingG. Landeskog$5,800
Wing
Wing
DefenseD. Hamilton$6,300
Defense
GoalieP. Grubauer$8,100
Utility $6,200

Nathan MacKinnon feels cheap at this price. He is not McDavid but he is close to and potentially better than Matthews. You would be a fool to not take him for under nine grand. This matchup will be difficult but the Avalanche are ready.

Gabriel Landeskog. We sometimes forget that Gabe is the captain of this team. Their core is so young and full of talent when it sometimes seems like they are grizzled veterans. We tried to get the full stack with Rantanen but it was a bit too rich for our blood. Any combination of them you can get, go for it.

Dougie Hamilton continues to dominate all opposition. We pity the fools who have to gameplan around this guy because it is such a difficult task. Dougie is somehow more of an offensive threat than some of the forwards in an already deep group. This series is likely to be very high scoring.

Phillip GrubauerWe are not going to pretend we have a magic eight ball for a pick like this. The Canes v Lightning game could end up in double digit goals scored and this one is not far behind. The offenses on all of these teams are filled with pure goal scorers. This will come down to the best defense. We are putting our first chip on Colorado. Spin that wheel.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • A bigtime second line stack
  • A defenseman that would be number one on many other teams
  • A utility player that has played the hero many times

Here’s a frosty lineup For DFS Hockey 5/30/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$8,600
CenterA. Cirelli$3,000
WingG. Landeskog$5,800
WingM. Necas$4,400
WingJ. Donskoi$3,200
DefenseD. Hamilton$6,300
DefenseD. Toews$4,400
GoalieP. Grubauer$8,100
UtilityS. Stamkos$6,200

Anthony Cirelli – C is on an amazing deal right now. He will be centering Steven Stamkos and is only $3,000. That is another deal we just cannot pass up. Cirelli is in prime development time right now and getting to play in the second round against a team like the Hurricanes is the perfect test.

Martin Necas – W is on a surprisingly powerful line. When looking at the roster it might not jump out at you but these guys are ballers. Trocheck has continued to show up and Niederreiter has also elevated his game this year. Necas may be more of a natural center but he is happy to wing for these guys.

Joonas Donskoi – W is in a similar spot to Necas. A very strong second line winger on a team that has a potent offense. The big question mark here is Compher since Kadri is out for a while with his suspension. Compher has stepped up in the past and should take advantage of every second he gets this opportunity.

Devon Toews – D is our daily peripheral dude. He used to be top power play on Long Island and has offensive capabilities. He is a fantastic depth piece behind Makar and gives the Avalanche a leg up on the competition.

Steven Stamkos – U. We may have saved the best for last. When Stamkos is healthy he is easily a point per game player. He already has three goals in the postseason and will undoubtedly be getting more.

The new week is upon us and so are the new series. Whenever you get the chance, turn these matches on because they are going to be wild. Go smash that follow button on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and have a great rest of your day.
