CALGARY, AB - MARCH 15: Edmonton Oilers Left Wing Leon Draisaitl (29) and Edmonton Oilers Center Connor McDavid (97) talk between whistles during the third period of an NHL game where the Calgary Flames hosted the Edmonton Oilers on March 15, 2021, at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, AB. If you are not yet subscribed, you need to understand that our best picks are behind the paywall. Sure, our free picks will give you a base of support but if you want a payout you need access to deep science. We stacked Stephenson and Tuch with Stone yesterday. Stone and Stephenson each got themselves an assist while Tuch went and got two goals and five shots. Monster game from Alex which we were super confident about. Get on board now while the getting is good.

There are four more playoff games today and they are already heated. Game one for the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets series starts tonight and that is must watch hockey. The Colorado Avalanche should continue to roll the St. Louis Blues and we have some comfy seats on the Carolina Hurricanes bandwagon. Get on board and let’s roll!

Here’s a broad lineup For DFS Hockey 5/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid$9,000
Center
WingSvechnikov$5,400

Wing
DefenseT. Barrie$6,000
Defense
GoalieP. Grubauer$8,500
Utility $5,900

Connor McDavid has far too little playoff experience for a player of his caliber. The Edmonton Oilers have finally iced a team that is capable of backing up the greatest player in the world. They face a top tier goaltender, but that may be it. The Jets have struggled mightily in recent weeks and McDavid should make quick work of them.

Andre Svechnikov is listed as a third liner which is strange given that he is way better than Nino Nidderreiter. He also had eight shots and a goal which is baller fantasy territory. To be fair his goal was an empty netter but he is top power play and is using his limited minutes to pepper the opposing goalie with pucks. Play him.

Tyson Barrie is going to be feeding McDavid on the power play. He plays big minutes and is going to be the focal point for the man advantage. He probably will not get you a goal but he will be in on a couple. Barrie had an amazing season and we cannot wait to see what he does in the playoffs. This game is going to be fun.

Philipp Grubauer. There is an argument for Jordan Binnington here for the sheer number of shots the Avalanche are likely to pile on him but we are also looking for a win. The Blues have the capability in them to upset this team but it is still one the least likely to happen. Grubauer is going to try and settle in and find his groove.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • One of our favorite utility players who always shows up big
  • Underrated wingers with powerplay upside
  • More fantasy advice than you will have time to consume

Here’s a broad lineup For DFS Hockey 5/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid$9,000
CenterN. Backstrom$4,700
WingA. Svechnikov$5,400
WingN. Ritchie$3,700
WingJ. Kyrou$3,600
DefenseT. Barrie$6,000
DefenseM. Reilly$3,200
GoalieP. Grubauer$8,500
UtilityV. Trocheck$5,900

Nicklas Backstrom – C is back where he belongs. He is the top center in Washington right now and is paired with Alex Ovechkin. His playmaking is sublime and in their Cup run he made one of the best passes we have ever seen. Silky smooth hands will set up Ovi for a goal tonight.

Nick Ritchie – W is a weapon on the Bruins that does not get enough credit. They deploy him in a very interesting way. He is third line at even strength as a shutdown guy but they put him on the top power play with some of the best players in the world. He has a strong net front presence and does all the dirty work they ask of him.

Jordan Kyrou – W just keeps scoring. Without a lot of ice time he always manages to produce. This kid has a great career ahead of him and he is a fan favorite down in St. Louis. Get on his bandwagon because it is taking off.

Mike Reilly – D. To be fair, this is the weakest pick of the bunch as Reilly does not always score the most fantasy points. He is still a great player and does exactly what he needs to. He is responsible with the puck and that does earn him assists on occasion. Do not write him off, he might surprise you.

Vincent Trocheck – U. We absolutely love having guys like this in our utility slot. He could be a top center for us but we make sure to make room for him. He has been a godsend to this Carolina team and generates a ton of offense. He has a couple young stud wings and they even put him on the top power play for an added bonus. He is always a threat.

Our popcorn cabinet is full and the machine is heating up. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show. You know the deal:Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Have a great Wednesday.
