There is nothing else like it. Already we have been left with jaws on the floor from highlight reel goals, bone crushing hits, and overtime thrillers. This is what it is all about. There are going to be very few completely uneven matchups and we expect most of these series to go to six or seven games. It will be tight.

The Battle of Florida is already a high scoring affair so we cannot go after either of their goalies. The New York Islanders are a scrappy bunch with their secret weapon in net. The Vegas Golden Knights still hold the odds in a brutal matchup against the Minnesota Wild and will be trying to solve Cam Talbot. Can he keep that magic going?

Here’s a snazzy lineup For DFS Hockey 5/18/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Alexander Barkovwelcome to the playoffs. We took him in Game 1 and he delivered. Playing 24 minutes he got five shots, a goal and an assist. It was still not enough to overcome the firepower from Tampa Bay, but he is concentrated talent on the Panthers. Tampa does not have an answer for him yet and it is unlikely to happen this soon. Keep rolling him.

Mark Stone will not be kept off the score sheet for long. We are looking at a bounceback performance from the Knights and it will come from their captain. When Stone plays with this kind of intensity, magic happens. There will be shots, there will be takeaways, there will be fantastic plays. If you are going to watch a game tonight, this is the one.

Alec MartinezPicking Golden Knight defenseman is tough. Like, really tough. Any of them could pop off and there is almost no way to tell who it will be. We are going with Martinez today because we feel like his floor from peripherals is a bit higher than the others. He had a quiet game after going day-to-day with a foot issue but he should be back to full now and will want to unleash hell.

Ilya Sorokin played a solid game after Varlamov was scratched late. Normally losing a Vezina caliber goalie at the start of the playoffs would be catastrophic. Not on Long Island. Sorokin is cool, calm and collected. He is still young but do not forget his resume from the KHL. He won everything in Russia and has already earned playoff MVP trophies. He will be adding to that case and will be trying to do so sooner rather than later.

Here’s a snazzy lineup For DFS Hockey 5/18/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterA. Barkov$7,800
CenterB. Nelson$4,200
WingM. Stone$6,600
WingO. Palat$4,400
WingA. Tuch$4,100
DefenseA. Martinez$5,400
DefenseM. Weegar$5,100
GoalieI. Sorokin$7,700
UtilityC. Stephenson$4,700

Brock Nelson – C had a strong finish to the season and came up big with a goal in Game 1 against the Penguins. Barzal has Leo Komarov on his wing which does not exactly get us excited. Nelson, on the other hand, has Anthony Beauvillier and we are big fans of him here. He gets some power play time and will be a pain in the neck for Pittsburgh.

Ondrej Palat – W is a really cheap way to get a slice of Tampa Bay. He is on the top line with Brayden Point and a clearly healthy Kucherov. We will be going after Kuch soon enough but in the meantime Palat has many opportunities to set these guys up and will get the job done for you.

Alex Tuch – W. Our boy is back! Well, technically, he never left but he is back on the top line with the continued absence of Pacioretty. He is a better fill in than Janmark and has proved many times this season that he can excel wherever they put him. The Knights are going to get another metric ton of shots on the Wild and we feel like there is no way Talbot has another 40 plus save performance.

Mackenzie Weegar – D was way too quiet in game 1 and will be turning it around tonight. This playoff experience is going to be invaluable for him as he cements himself as a true top pairing d-man.

Chandler Stephenson – U. That is correct we are going full top line for the Golden Knights today. Stephenson is the arch stone of this line. He wins draws, plays hard and is way faster than you probably realize. This dude can hunt a puck down and get it back to Stone who will either bury it or send it to Tuch for an easy goal. They are worth watching.
