Tuuka Rask DFS
PHILADELPHIA, PA - FEBRUARY 03: Boston Bruins Goalie Tuukka Rask (40) makes a save of the puck during the second period of the National Hockey League game between the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers on February 3, 2021, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. All but one game went to overtime yesterday and we are here for it. The playoffs have started off with a bang and will only continue to get more exciting. Cam Talbot got us a 42 save shutout yesterday and Alexander Barkov got himself a goal, an assist, and five shots. We are going to continue to try and get you the hottest picks possible and we will let you know when we hit big. If you were a subscriber you would know that we stacked Carter Verhaeghe with Barkov and he got himself a goal as well. Good day.

There are three games today and we are going to point you in the direction of one team in each matchup. We are looking at the Boston Bruins over the Washington Capitals, the Carolina Hurricanes over the Nashville Predators, and the Colorado Avalanche over the St. Louis Blues. That does not mean we will not pick someone from the other teams but those will be special players and will be found behind the paywall.

Here’s a top tier lineup For DFS Hockey 5/17/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$8,600
Center
WingB. Marchand$7,000
Wing
Wing
DefenseC. Makar$6,400
Defense
GoalieT. Rask$8,100
Utility $5,000

Nathan MacKinnon is a force of nature. He will be leading the Avalanche against a Blues team that struggled near the end of the season but finished strong in their last couple games. Having won the Stanley Cup only a couple of years ago they know what it takes to win. Colorado will have their hands full but MacKinnon is unlikely to be slowed down.

Brad Marchand. The top line in Boston did not produce enough in the first game and are looking for a bounce back. As we mentioned when we took him last time, Marchand has over a fifty percent chance of scoring a goal which means he is due.

Cale Makar is back where he started, the playoffs. We expect that he will look right at home and turn it up a notch to help the Avalanche make a deep run. He is a point per game defenseman, which is a rarity in this league. Expect to see him make our list as long as Colorado is still in it.

Tuukka Rask is not phased by a lot and he will be cool, calm, and collected for this game. He always deserves a part of the conversation for best goaltender in the league and he would love it if he got just a little more goal support from the guys in front of him.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

Here’s a top tier lineup For DFS Hockey 5/17/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$8,600
CenterD. Krejci$4,600
WingB. Marchand$7,000
WingW. Foegele$2,800
WingJ. Compher$2,700
DefenseC. Makar$6,400
DefenseT. Krug$4,600
GoalieT. Rask$8,100
UtilityT. Teravainen$5,000

David Krejci – C always hits another level in the postseason. Paired with Taylor Hall he has all the trimmings to be a top center. His playmaking abilities are elite and the ease at which he flows down the ice is hard to comprehend at times. The Bruins had a slow start but will be putting things together in short order. Always expect more from Krejci and he will deliver.

Warren Foegele – W has been one of our favorite depth pieces this year and he has treated us well. He has moved up to the second line with Vincent Trochek and has all the opportunity to make a big impact as his contract nears restricted free agency. He will be getting paid and what he does tonight may change his earning power.

J.T. Compher – W is a third line guy but on a deep team. The Avalanche are able to deploy Compher in every situation. He can play center, he can play wing, he can kill penalties and he can work the power play. They will be relying on him as other teams put their best defenses against MacKinnon.

Torey Krug – D is another top power playing defenseman. He distributes the puck better than most in the game. That means he is less likely to score you a goal but his assists are nothing to sneeze at and he will be getting all the power play time he can handle. If the Blues are planning on an upset, Krug will have to be a part of that.

Teuvo Teravainen – U spent a lot of time injured this year but when he came back it was like he never left. Playing with Aho and Svechnikov, this trio is going to do some damage. That they are as young as they are is just a great sign for this team and the league as a whole. We hope to keep hearing his name for years to come.
