NHL DFS Picks For May 11, 2021

Mark Scheifle DFS
VANCOUVER, BC - FEBRUARY 19: Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele (55) and goaltender Laurent Brossoit (30) celebrate after their NHL game against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on February 19, 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. (Photo by Derek Cain/Icon Sportswire)

Pickings are slim today. The Boston Bruins are benching almost their entire roster to get ready for the playoffs. The Washington Capitals are heavily injured already and will rest who they can. This is not the bloodbath everyone was hoping for as a preview for the first round when these two meet on Saturday. The Winnipeg Jets do still have something to play for and Vancouver is happy to meet them in battle.

Here’s a tight lineup For DFS Hockey 5/11/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterM. Scheifele$6,900
WingB. Wheeler$5,800
DefenseJ. Morrissey$5,100
GoalieJ. Swayman$7,700
Utility $5,500

Mark Scheifele and the Jets would love to stop the bleeding and keep the third spot in their division. There is a chance the Montreal Canadiens could come in and take it so they will be playing hard tonight. He has his whole top line with no one sitting so play him with confidence.

Blake Wheeler is Scheifele’s right hand man and captain of the team. He puts up insane assists every year and this was no different. If success is going to happen tonight it has to be from the top down. Leaders have to lead.

Josh Morrissey should be on top power play duty tonight. He is logging big minutes and bears a lot of responsibility. It has been a few games since his last point so he is due. He will need to concentrate on getting a few more shots than he has been. He should still block some shots for you and has a solid floor.

Jeremy Swayman. We have to have players from three teams so w are going to highlight Swayman even if he faces an uphill battle. The young Bruins prospects are all itching to get a chance on NHL ice and it might actually be more entertaining than we first thought. It should be less physical than everyone was predicting since these guys should not have much bad blood.

Here’s a tight lineup For DFS Hockey 5/11/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterM. Scheifele$6,900
CenterJ. T. Miller$5,300
WingB. Wheeler$5,800
WingA. Copp$4,600
WingN. Hoglander$4,100
DefenseJ. Morrissey$5,100
DefenseQ. Hughes$4,800
GoalieJ. Swayman$7,700
UtilityB. Boeser$5,500

J.T. Miller – C has moved up to top line center over Bo Horvat and so we are going with him. He has slightly better weapons on his wings and overall we would say he is the more offensively talented player. We love Horvat but he is deployed as a two way center a little more focused on defense which is great for your real life team, not so much your fantasy team.

Andrew Copp – W is back up the second line and that always makes us happy. He is one of the few guys that we will throw in our lineup even when he is on the third line because he is productive wherever he is.

Nils Hoglander – W. Has one season under his belt and we are looking forward to next year. He would love to get some more street cred and fan appreciation by scoring tonight and doing some damage to this weakened Jets team.

Quinn Hughes – D. Just get us one more assist, man, we are jonesing! In his favor like last time is that Hellebyuck might be injured and so the Jets are still in backup goalie territory.

Brock Boeser – U. Brock Lobster has 20 goals on the season which is quite the feat seeing how difficult the season has been for the Canucks. With a full 82 game season next year, expect him to hit at least 30.

The regular season finish line is in sight. The Stanley Cup Playoffs start on Saturday! Please give us a follow on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Taco Tuesday!
