Goalies are the worst. Fire them all into the sun. We are not choosing one today but will leave you the $8,400 to pick your own poison. We will not leave you totally hanging of course. There are a couple of matches that we are eyeing and those can definitely help guide you.

The Minnesota Wild vs Vegas Golden Knights is sure to be another fun one to watch. The Wild are a solid team this year and have the tools to win. The Knights on the other hand may end up the kings of the league. They are scary good. Up north we have the Edmonton Oilers vs the Ottawa Senators game. Edmonton is getting their mojo back and Ottawa played yesterday. Juicy.

Here’s a titillating lineup For DFS Hockey 3/8/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid $9,200
Center  $6,100
Wing  $4,900
Wing  $4,300
Wing  $3,700
DefenseQ. Hughes $5,500
Defense  $5,200
Goalie  $?,???
UtilityT. Jost $2,600

Connor McDavid is back to his old tricks and putting up multiple points in a game. They scraped by against the Flames and are sure to be looking for a blowout against the Sens. Get him in your lineup right away.

Quinn HughesJust like McDavid and crew had a tough go against Toronto so too did the Canucks. Hughes has not had a great week but that is ok. He will snap out of his funk soon.

Tyson Jost is our steal alert of the day. With MacKinnon out the 22 year old is getting second line and second power play time. He has Landeskog on his wing which means he is capable of putting up some points. For no money we will take all the upside.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?

  • One of the best two way centers in the game.
  • A basket of baller wingers.
  • An unheralded top power play defenseman.

Ryan O’Reilly – C ($6,100 DK). We are not yet prepared to go after Tarasenko now that he is playing again. It will happen soon but we can go with the captain who will benefit the most from Vlad being back. He is a phenomenal player in his own right and will be fighting every shift.

Kirill Kaprizov – W ($4,900 DK). It has been too long since the rookie scored a goal. Remember too that rookie is a bit of a stretch as the 23 year old matured a little in Russia before coming over here. He will get you tons of shots as a baseline and they are bound to start going in again.

Jesse Puljujarvi – W ($4,300 DK). Pool party! This goofball has earned his way onto McDavid’s wing and has been benefiting greatly. Watching him have fun is a real treat. He can probably fit the entire Senators bench in his gaping maw which is both hilarious and terrifying at the same time.

Kevin Labanc – W ($3,700 DK). Do not tell anyone but the Sharks can score goals. They certainly let in more than they should but the offense is not the worst thing about this team. Labanc is on the top line with Couture and Kane and is having a modest half point per game season. We like what we see and will take this cheap risk.

Sam Girard – D ($5,200 DK) is filling in while Makar is out. He has top power play time on a great team even while MacKinnon is also down. When the Avalanche are fully healthy they will be hard to stop. Get Girard while the getting is good.

We are not trying to stiff you on alternates today but we really like this squad and do not feel the need to tinker. You may have noticed that we did not actually take any Golden Knights. Keep your eye on their goalie situation as Dansk may get the nod again, but Fleury is the man. Blast us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) if we helped you out. Have a great week.
