NHL DFS Picks For March 31, 2021

Claude Giroux DFS
PHILADELPHIA, PA - MARCH 23: Philadelphia Flyers Center Claude Giroux (28) looks on in the third period during the game between the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers on March 23, 2021 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. (Photo by Kyle Ross/Icon Sportswire)

Eeli Tolvanen made our free lineup somewhat useful last night but all the gems were buried behind the paywall. We swapped out Ovi for Panarin who got us a goal and two assists while saving us $700. Our mystery utility player that we went big on was Roope Hintz and he crushed it getting us a goal and five shots. That is not all but that is for you to sign up and find out about.

The big matchup tonight will be the Toronto Maple Leafs vs the Winnipeg Jets. These two are locked in heated battle for first in the Canadian division. The Leafs have the slight advantage but if Connor Hellebuyck has anything to say about it, it will be dead even. We will be setting our sights on Colorado, Vegas and Minnesota for the juiciest mismatches..

Here’s a crushing lineup For DFS Hockey 3/31/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$9,000
Center
Wing
WingC. Giroux$5,100
Wing $2,900
DefenseI. Provorov$5,200
Defense
Goalie
UtilityCopp$3,900

We are going a little thin on top talent in our freebies today and putting it out there that the Flyers in particular are a little riskier than we normally go after. Of course the matchup against the Sabres is a great one, but they still almost lost two days ago. The rest of our squad gives us the confidence we need to roll the dice on Philly.

Nathan MacKinnon is the big fish of the day and we are happy to tell you that free of charge. With a matchup against the Coyotes this is where you should put your money. Arizona is running two goalies from the Tucson Roadrunners with both Kuemper and Raanta sidelined. Easy decision.

Claude GirouxAnytime Giroux moves to the wing our ears perk up. He is a phenomenal center but there is something about the way he concentrates his power on the wing and makes things happen. He is searching for his tenth goal of the season and this is the game to do it.

Ivan Provorov would love to pick up where he left off. He scored the overtime winner after a thrilling comeback by the Flyers. He posted an assist as well and had an all around great day. If you need another stat to drive this home he is averaging close to six shots per game in his last four.

Andrew Copp is one of those guys who we find ourselves reaching into our back pocket for more often. There are not many third line guys we can count on to produce for us but Copp is a powerhouse. He has as many points as Claude Giroux, albeit in a couple more games played, and costs $1,200 less. Not bad.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • A stack for MacKinnon to multiply his value.
  • One of the cheapest Maple Leafs whose price will be rising
  • More than a year’s worth of elite DFS content. Check out our NBA picks today!

Here’s a crushing lineup For DFS Hockey 3/31/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$9,000
CenterC. Stephenson$4,400
WingM. Rantanen$7,600
WingC. Giroux$5,100
WingGalchenyuk$2,900
DefenseI. Provorov$5,200
DefenseJ. Brodin$4,300
GoalieC. Hellebuyck$7,500
UtilityCopp$3,900

Chandler Stephenson – C like Copp is just a great value add. We rave about his linemates Pacioretty and Stone all the time and that price for a top center on a top team is nothing to sniff at.

Mikko Rantanen – W. We seriously considered putting together the entire first line from Colorado today but we did promise not risking too much. Rantanen is on absolute fire and if you need to save a few hundred bucks you cannot go wrong with Landeskog.

Alex Galchenyuk – W is a wandering vagabond. We cannot count how many teams he has bounced around to at this point. He seems to have found his way into a great spot though and you should check out the Steve Dangle Podcast for some good insight into how he got here. The big takeaway is that this is the first time in a long time that someone has actively pursued him and he is playing like it.

Jonas Brodin – D is second pairing at even strength but he is the Wild’s top power play guy. He has a modest floor and will occasionally surprise you. Couple that with a matchup against the Sharks and something might be brewing.

Connor Hellebuyck – G. Look, there is always some risk involved but at his price it is hard to pass up. The Leafs have been struggling a little bit and Helle has been standing tall. We will have an alternate for you but this should be a statement game from the Jets if they want to sit atop the pile.

Alternative moves…

Kirill Kaprizov – W can go in for Rantanen and you have $1,000 back in your wallet. We would love for him to have a true number one center but that will come in time. He is flirting with game breaking ability and is truly a thrill to watch.

Philipp Grubauer – G has been confirmed as the starter since we started writing this article. He is an elite talent and you already know the big guns in front of him. What’s that? You have $200 left over and you want to spend it? Ok.

Auston Matthews – C. If you like Matthews over MacKinnon and do not trust Helle you have the means to make it happen. We are definitely going after two tickets today because both these lineups are top notch.
