NHL DFS Picks For March 25, 2022

The Boston Bruins are vibing right now. They shelled the Tampa Bay Lightning and then leap frogged them in the standings to earn a normal playoff spot. The Lightning have been relegated to Wild Card status. This is the result we believe most hockey fans are looking for. It is not so much about the Lightning failing but setting them up for a matchup against the Panthers in the first round while the Bruins would play the Leafs again. The B’s acquisition of Hampus Lindholm is already paying dividends and David Pastrnak put another hat trick feather in his cap. No one is safe.

Here’s an Albertan lineup For DFS Hockey 3/25/22 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterE. Lindholm$7,200

DefenseR. Andersson$5,000

GoalieJ. Markstrom$8,300
Utility

Jakob Markstrom is the league leader in shutouts this year. Do we need to say anything else? He is up against the Arizona Coyotes who have absolutely spoiled some matchups but who have also let us down when they lose games they absolutely should have won. They are a bit of an enigma, but Markstrom and the Flames are not. They are the real deal and are going to make some noise come playoffs.

Elias Lindholm is an incredible two way center. We firmly believe he should in top contention for the Selke award this year. He will not get it, because of the guy they are likely to rename it for in a few years once he retires. Patrice Bergeron’s play this year at 36 years old is transcendent. Lindholm will get the award at some point but he will have to be patient.

We were watching some post-game interviews, as one does, and were impressed by how confident and at ease Rasmus Andersson was. He has fully taken power play one time from Noah Hanifinand is their bonafide number one. It was a lot of work but he has earned it. This team is going places and he is key cog in the machine.

If you are going hard after Calgary you should know that Matthew Tkachuk has been moved down to the second line and Tyler Toffoli has been bumped up to the top. This is not a demotion for Tkachuk but a shrewd move by coach Darryl Sutter to balance his depth. They both play on the top power play unit and are each worth an add, but we will take the savings and better ice time afforded to Toffoli.

Ryan Strome and Jeff Carter stand out to us for your next center. Carter is on the third line in Pittsburgh but he manages to surprise a lot and his linemates are hungry for more. One of Stromes linemates is elite and the other is very above average. Maybe only one of these guys stands out, especially given cost.

Do we shell out the extra $300 for Devon Toews or do we take human wrecking ball Jacob Trouba? Trouba is a troublemaker and is one of the best hitters and more importantly for you one of the best blockers in the league. Toews is pure offense. He can block but it is not as much of a guarantee. The juicy matchup against the Flyers is also worth noting.

We are seeing a bit of surplus building today and we are liking one or both of Patrik Laine or Bryan Rust. We occasionally talk about Kyle Connor as being very underrated and he does not get his fair share of media attention given that he just hit 40 goals and 40 assists on the season, but Bryan Rust is our true most underrated player in the league. He gets to line up with Sidney Crosbyand is absolutely crushing it. Laine is perfectly rated and is back to his old goal scoring self. They are very much worth your consideration

Marcus Johansson is admittedly a big swing given his recent stats but he just got back with his old club and has already been put on the top line with Alexander Ovechkin. There are worse places to be lined up in this league. He did not do much against St. Louis but they are a much better team than the Buffalo Sabres who are their opponent tonight. He is here for you if you need to make some swaps.

We are going to be getting out of town this weekend to the lake and cannot wait .It is paddleboarding time! We will not be posting pictures to our Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) but we will be posting all of our articles there and it is where you can find all of our excellent fantasy sports advice.
