Claude Giroux’s debut in Florida is tonight. He played all of his exactly 1000 games over the course of a 14 year career in Philadelphia. It is going to be strange not seeing him in black and orange but he will rock the red well.

Alexander Barkov has played in 578 NHL games and has scored 527 points. He has had some pretty decent wingers over the years but none like Giroux. We are beyond excited to see how they work together if you cannot tell. The Canadiens have had a good run, but this is an almost insurmountable challenge.
Claude Giroux does it all. He can play center, he can play either wing, and he can play on the power play. It seems likely that part of the reason he did not end up in Colorado is due to the power play situation, they just do not need him on their top one. Florida could use him there and that makes their second unit all the better
Spencer Knight is having a modestly good season. He is certainly the future after Sergei Bobrovsky is gone, though we are years away from that. He has had his ups and downs but it feels like everything is coming together. He has the added benefit of one of the most potent offenses in the league going out there to do everything they can from stopping the puck from getting to him.

J.T. Miller knocked it out of the park for us yesterday and we are putting our chips back on him. Two points in each of his last two games and multi point efforts all across the season. He is sitting in the top ten for points and you may want to swap Barkov for him since a lot of other people are going to be going after our top line today.
Nik Ehlers and Evander Kane are both on a tear right now. There is just so much talent in this league that overshadows other amazing players. All the talk in Winnipeg goes to Kyle Connor while in Edmonton, Kane is like 5th on the list of guys to talk about. They are both on six game point streaks right now. One of them should be on your squad.
The Flyers will not be making the playoffs but their top line has been consistently productive in recent weeks. That is centered by the venerable Kevin Hayes. It may be worth a swing on Travis Konecny or Joel Farabee.
We are not trying to shove all the Panthers down your throat but with Aaron Ekblad on IR, more duties are going to be given to Mackenzie Weegar. He excelled in that role the last time Ekblad got injured . The one knock here is that Florida is going five forwards on the power play to start, we will see if they quickly get rid of that idea.
Charlie McAvoy just got an upgrade for a partner in Hampus Lindholm. The knock on Lindholm was his declining stats over the past couple years but we are putting that on the Ducks not putting together a great corp. He was always the one bringing up his linemates and now he has McAvoy to do some of the lifting for him. This pair is scary.
Jakub Vrana will have a tough time finding a hole against Ilya Sorokin but he just got two more and has been a breath of fresh air for the Red Wings. They have some talented youth like Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider who are going to bring this team back to the glory of the old days.
