Along with keeping up on Covid postponements we are also keeping an eye on the injury reserve lists and which teams are struggling from a personnel standpoint. Be very careful of taking any Vancouver Canucks tonight as they are missing all of their centers. It will be interesting to see who fills those spots.
We are favoring the Winnipeg Jets tonight with some helpers from Pittsburgh and Los Angeles. Buffalo’s situation continues to deteriorate and San Jose is facing a shot heavy team in Los Angeles. With no obvious superstars today we will be able to spread the wealth and focus on a couple stacks we have our eye on.
Here’s a true north lineup For DFS Hockey 3/24/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Wing | Copp | $3,800 | |

Defense | |||
Defense | J. Morrissey | $4,800
Goalie | C. Hellebuyck | $8,100
Utility | $3,900 |
We have extolled the virtue of Mark Scheifele before and he continues to age like a fine wine. The 28 year old is very comfortable in his role at the head of the Jets. He has an awesome goaltender, linemates and coach. It is too bad he may never end up being captain but he is still a great leader.
Andrew Copp has been one of those depth guys that the Jets can rely on. He is strong on the puck and has been quietly scoring. He will move up the depth chart at some point but he does not need to yet as he is thriving in his current position.
Josh Morrissey won the coin flip today. Winnipeg’s defensive situation is a little fluid and it can be tough to guess the hot hand. Neal Pionk is in an extended slump and Morrissey is currently getting the top power play time. Lean Morrissey.
Connor Hellebuyck. What a season for Helle. He will be another Vezina finalist this year with some outstanding performances. With Vancouver missing all of their centers Connor has the challenge of staying sharp when there are fewer pucks coming at him..
Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now
- One week to try us out for free. $99 for all-access to all DFS sportsfor an entire year.
- A Kings stack worthy of a crown.
- A Penguins stack that even the paupers can afford.
Anze Kopitar – C is at a very reasonable price with a good matchup ahead. The Kings did lose the last match against the Sharks but Martin Jones had to stop over 40 shots and played out of his mind. Chances are he sets up Iafallo or Brown who had 11 shots between them. This line is productive.
Dustin Brown – W is another coin flip winner. You could also stack Iafallo just as easily. The two of them are set up magically by Kopitar all the time and have been scoring at career highs. Iafallo is a little bit cheaper if you have another high price player you are saving for.
Zach Aston-Reese – W is part of another stack that others are unlikely to go after. He has moved up to the second line in Pittsburgh and has been making the most of it. His numbers may not be eye popping but remember that the Sabres are on their fifth goaltender or something like that. They have been burning through them and are likely to let in a lot tonight.
Kris Letang – D rounds out our Penguins block today. Top power play and legendary defenseman will be back out there doing what he does best. He did not score last game but it was not for lack of trying. Six shots and none found the back of the net. He will be trying to remedy that tonight.
Jared McCann – U is taking Malkin’s sport on the second line and is the other half of the stack with Aston-Reese. There is not much else to put here, he is getting a bump in minutes and responsibility against a team that is struggling mightily. Cheap value is what we are good for here.
If you would like an alternative go put Suter in for Larkin and fill that utility spot with Blake Coleman. You will have about $2,000 extra to upgrade Garland to Kane or Point to MacKinnon.
That leaves you with $500 left over. If you need some extra cash, swap out Hellebuyck for Cal Petersen who is one fire right now Let us know what is up on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Have a good one.
