NHL DFS Picks For March 22, 2022

Fluerry + Pacioretty DFS
LAS VEGAS, NV - FEBRUARY 26: Vegas Golden Knights left wing Max Pacioretty (67) and goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury (29) celebrate after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 during a regular season game Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, in Las Vegas. (Marc Sanchez/Icon Sportswire)

It is going to take a long time to unpack all the trades and we should all hold off on evaluations that are going to take years to come to fruition. One of the biggest winners in our heads, though, is Minnesota. They picked up one of the most likable players in the league, who has also managed to get a couple Cups along the way. A tandem of Cam Talbot and Marc Andre Fleury is an unbelievable combination of talent, experience and locker room presence. Guerin crushed this deadline.

The Seattle Kraken had a great deadline in terms of assets gained towards building a better future but it does nothing except make them significantly worse in the short term. They are getting very few wins down the stretch and the first big winners of that are the Arizona Coyotes. You should take as many of them as possible today.

Karel Vejmelka is the first and most obvious, especially given how well he has played and the fact that the Coyotes have actually been scoring a lot as of late. He has three 35+ save games in his last five. The only issue potentially is a low ceiling because we just do not think that Seattle will put a lot of pressure on him.

Travis Boyd is the top line center and has both Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz on his wing. This trio should do some damage today given that the Kraken traded away half of their defensive corp. This will open you up for the juiciest names in the business come on over and find out who the biggest winners will be today. Will it be you?

We gushed about Kyle Connor two days ago and he gave us a goal and four assists. Are you kidding? This dude is insane. He jumped from just outside the top 10 in scoring to within the top 5 overall. Vegas’ wheels are falling off and most people are here to enjoy the crash. Maybe try caring about your players more, guys? This whole Evgenii Dadonov situation could be its own article. Will he even play tonight? It does not matter, take Connor and enjoy the spectacle.

We will not go too crazy with your number one center and are going to grab Mika Zibenajad. The Rangers have also come out of this whole thing a better team. Frank Vatrano scored his first goal even though it was an empty netter, you got the fantasy points we predicted! And low key one of the best acquisitions was Andrew Copp. Longtime readers will know that we would always go to him in a pinch. The Rangers found a real one and he should be in your lineup today as well. Toss Franky V and get on the Copp train.

Let’s make some room for defense and round out our wingers. Alex KillornLawson Crouse and Anthony Cirelli come to mind. Crouse has been playing better than Tom Wilson lately and we have beaten the Kraken half to death already, so just let him finish the job. Killorn and Cirelli are just cogs in the Tampa Bay machine. They get top six roles next to truly elite players. They are always a good play. We would normally go after someone like Brandon Hagel who moved to a new team, but as happy as he is toi play there, we expect a little drop off since he is moving down a line due to the depth differences between Tampa and Chicago.

Adam Fox comes in at a very nice $6,900. He can be a bit steep depending on who you have taken so far, so in a pinch go for Dougie Hamilton instead. The Devils may not be winning a lot but he is still always piling on fantasy points in shots in blocks. Noah Dobson has also firmly entrenched himself in this tier with his power play one time in New York.

Tyson Barrie is still disgustingly cheap and there is no choice to be made here. Rasmus Anderssonis in the same boat and we are going to have a tough time making these choices today. We could just as easily take both of these guys and continue upgrading elsewhere. These are good problems to have.

Happy Sunday y’all. It is time for some spring cleaning over here. Is the snow melting where you are?  Come find us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and enjoy the heck out of the rest of your weekend.
