The wraparound winner by Anthony Beauvillier assisted by Jean-Gabriel Pageau was a thing of beauty. It took until overtime for our free picks to bloom but they did it in spectacular fashion. Alex Nedeljkovic had a shutout and Nathan MacKinnon had a modest game by his standards. It was a solid way to start the week and so we press on.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will look to continue their dominant play by taking a fading Dallas Stars team. The Florida Panthers will be licking their wounds after losing to the Bolts and will take it out on the Chicago Blackhawks. Keep your eye on the Colorado Avalanche goaltending situation as the Coyotes may actually have a chance tonight.

Here’s a sunny lineup For DFS Hockey 3/22/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterB. Point $7,000
Center
WingC. Garland $6,000
Wing
Wing
Defense
DefenseC. Makar $5,200
GoalieC. Hart $8,100
Utility  $4,300

The Lightning are incinerating everyone in their path right now. For a modest price you can have one shiny Brayden Point who is the top pivot in Tampa. He has not piled on points like some other superstars but he is at a point per game and the ratio of goals to assists is a healthy one.

The Avalanche look to be starting their newly acquired backup Jonas Johansson. His stats suggest the Coyotes should just shoot a lot tonight. Quality of shot probably will not matter, just put them on net. Conor Garland may be the big beneficiary here. He is looking for his tenth of the season and we hope he finds it tonight.

Cale Makar is a guy we have been wanting to play for quite some time but he was dealing with some injuries and is finally back. He is a phenomenal talent and the Avalanche are thrilled to have him back to give their blue line some extra depth.

Carter HartYes this is a risky pick but the Flyers have to get back on track at some point, right? If they cannot get it done against the Devils tonight we may have to just declare them dead on arrival.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • 7-days to read everything on the site for free. All-access to every article we write for a year after for $99.
  • Another Coyote that could play big tonight
  • One more Flyer who will give everything for his team
  • A Red Wings player flying under the radar

Dylan Larkin – C has his work cut out for him this season and probably the next few after that. There is going to be a long rebuild but he is capable of navigating the choppy waters and guiding his crew to a brave new world. After coming back from injury he has gelled with his top line and represents the biggest threat to the Predators this evening.

Jakub Voracek – W is a third liner but his productivity this year has been off the charts. They seem to have placed Claude Giroux on his line meaning this is more of a second line than anything. He will drag this team to a win.

Tyler Pitlick – W is a pest. If he scores tonight is going to be some shifty unexpected move that baffles the Colorado defense. They will lose track of him after he gets under someone’s skin and will be there to put the puck home. Do not underestimate this kid.

Jakob Chychrun – D spells his name differently than Voracek, just a heads up. He also plays a very different position. Chychrun is emerging as the Coyotes top defenseman and has taken over top power play duties from OEL. He may be a puck sponge tonight against the AVs but there is some juicy opportunity for him tonight.

Pius Suter – U. We are going after some diamonds in the rough today and we always search the top line of Chicago. He will have Patrick Kane on his wing who should get serious consideration for the Hart Trophy and most valuable player to his team. Suter has been having a good year himself and is a great price.

If you would like an alternative go put Suter in for Larkin and fill that utility spot with Blake Coleman. You will have about $2,000 extra to upgrade Garland to Kane or Point to MacKinnon.

That is the way we love to finish these off. Give you the best budget to take control of your team and go after who you feel is hot. We are just here to round out the rest of the decisions and let you know who is worth keeping an eye on. Who did you upgrade to?
