We think we had the right idea with the Islanders Aho, but he got swapped out for Thomas Hickey last minute. Hickey scored two assists and had a great night after battling hard through concussions and injuries. Sorry, secondary Sebastian Aho, we still believe in you. Luckily, we did hit on Pageau and Hertl who scored us goals and Khudobin got us a shutout. Good day.
Matchups will be tight today. We will not get the early game so just the last three. All three of these are rivalry games and should be a blast to watch. The one big note here is that Andre Vasilevskiy played last night and there is a good chance that Curtis McElhinney should be in net. Do with that information as you will.

Alexander Barkov is going full beast mode right now and the Panther’s captain has a chance to tie the division lead tonight. Whether the Lightning play Vasi two days in a row or go with their backup, there is some great opportunity here.
Carter Verhaeghe is chilling on Barkov’s line and has been a steady point producer this year. His price is just right for his upside and we look forward to seeing what he brings against the Bolts. The one knock is lack of power play time but being on Barkov’s wing is close enough for us.
Radko Gudas will very rarely make this list. His game is hitting people which is not a DFS scoring category unfortunately. If it were he would be McDavid money. He does get a couple shots and blocks a game though and even though he has yet to score a goal this year, he is in line for one with his career shooting percentage being around three percent. If McElhinney is in net his chances jump.
Sergei Bobrovsky is a bit of a risky pick but he is at a great price. The Lightning are good at scoring goals but Bob has been steadily improving his game this season. If he plays well tonight it may mark a big shift in his value and end up being a statement game for him.
Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now
- A utility player that costs more than $6,000
- A cheap top line winger
- Another top tier defender
Chandler Stephenson – C is back after dealing with a minor injury. So often we highlight wingers on great centers lines but this one is a little different. Stephenson is a good player in his own right and a Stanley Cup Champion with the Capitals but he is centering two stud wingers. Pacioretty and Stone are going nuts this year and Stephenson reaps all the reward.
Mark Stone – W. Did we mention how crazy good this guy is? Thirty five points in twenty seven games. Clutch daddy. The Knights ability to score in the third period is unrivaled and much of it is due to this guy. Just draft him already.
Eeli Tolvanen – W is a gem over in Nashville. He has worked his way up to the top line and has been quietly producing for them. He was a first round pick in 2017 and he is still only 21 years old. He is a shooter which you can see by the fact that he has twice as many goals as he does assists. Those are stats to pay attention to.
Shea Theodore – D is the defenseman to own now that Pietrangelo is on injured reserve. There are other good options in guys like Martinez but Shea holds the reins. He has ten points in his last six and is sitting at just under a point per game on the season.
Joe Pavelski – U. We are always stoked when we can get you an expensive baller for your utility slot. It has been a couple games since he got on the scoresheet but he has a long resume that shows it is never too long before he does. With Benn and Kiviranta by his side they will be the line to own against Nashville.
Jason Robertson – W. Swap out Pavelski for this rookie sensation. It would allow you to upgrade Stone to Pacioretty or get a goalie you are a little more confident in. Robertson is already playing twenty minutes a game which is astounding. The Stars trust him and you will be hearing about him more as the season progresses.
Other than the battle in the Sunshine State we hope you have a chill Sunday. If you feel the need to call us out on picking Radko Gudas please send the hate to Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) so we have a record of it. Have a great week.
