NHL DFS Picks For March 20, 2022

Mark Scheifle DFS
VANCOUVER, BC - FEBRUARY 19: Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele (55) and goaltender Laurent Brossoit (30) celebrate after their NHL game against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on February 19, 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. (Photo by Derek Cain/Icon Sportswire)

Those were some top tier free tips yesterday and our Red Alert also got a goal and an assist. We should probably start restricting this information because it is too valuable to be giving it away so cheaply. Until we make that move though, we have all the goodness you can handle and even more than that behind the curtain. Trade season is raging with Claude Giroux making his way to Florida and Hampus Lindholm going to the Boston Bruins. These are both big pieces that came with big prices.

Here’s a winning lineup For DFS Hockey 3/20/22 (using DraftKings Values)

GoalieC. Hellebuyck$7,800

Connor Hellebuyck and the Winnipeg Jets are up against the Chicago Blackhawks tonight. The Hawks have only made one move of note and that lost them Brandon Hagel to the Lightning. On paper, that is not the worst loss but it is an emotional one for a team looking to rebuild with him as a piece of the puzzle. They are not getting many more wins down the stretch.

Kyle Connor continues his tremendous season without slowing down. He is top five in the league in goal scoring and is just outside the top ten in total points. That means that $7,400 is a more than fair price. If you get a chance to see him hit his top speed, watch out, you might break your neck.

Mark Scheifele is the captain of the Jets and he contributes plenty, even if not at the elite level of Connor. He is very close to the point per game mark. The only thing to watch out for is going to be Marc Andre Fleury himself. There is the slight chance the Hawks netminder gets traded, but only if Flower wants to. He can still stand on his head, so we do have one other center to consider in Scheifele’s stead.

There is no reason to swap out Connor given his price, but Scheif is not always our safest go to. We will take this time to highlight Roope Hintz of the Dallas Stars. He is hitting career highs and has some very interesting weapons on his side. Jason Robertson is surprising everyone and Joe Pavelski continues to age like the finest wine. They have one of the toughest battles to get into the playoffs, but Hintz and crew can make it happen.

For the last center advice we are checking out Nicklas Backstrom. His shot totals are not exactly where we want them but he has always been a pass first guy and is the best at what he does. He still gets power play one time and will be feeding Alex Ovechkin as often as possible. Ovi has a long way to go to tie the great Gordie Howe for second in goals all time. He will very much need Nicklas’ help to get there.

We will get around to talking about defensemen but one more goalie thought. Karel Vejmelka has been standing tall all season for the Arizona Coyotes. This should be a pretty tight matchup with both teams punching a little above their weight. It is on the riskier side, but hey, what is life but calculated risk taking?

We will not be breaking the bank today with blue liners and are starting strong with Jacob Trouba. He is a peripheral monster and hits the minimum half point per game we like to see from our defenders. He does it all and has been a huge part of the Rangers success. If you do have extra cash laying around then by all means go after the great Mr. Adam Fox. We also really like Shayne Gostisbehere as a secondary option.

Not to beat the Jets to death here, but Andrew Copp has had his name linked to trade rumors and we tend to find that those guys shine in these times to make their value as high as possible. If the Boston Bruins could ship out Jake Debrusk and bring back Copp, that and Lindholm may be enough to entice David Krejci to come back and they would be poised for a deep run.

Alex Tuch fell off a mini cliff after a really hot start after being traded to Buffalo. He has not been getting as many points but he is still getting you around 5+ shots and that gives him quite a nice floor. If you are looking for a little more, right next to him you can find Brock Boeser who will be firing on Tuch’s goalie, whoever that person ends up being. We are even a bit surprised at how apathetic we are to Buffalo’s goalie situation. It is usually enough to know to take guys against them.

We took Ryan Strome yesterday and highlighted our interest in Frank Vatrano who managed to put up 5 shots on goal. It is hard not to go back to a $2,500 player with a ton of upside on a great new team. There is just too much value there to not take him. That would leave you with enough to upgrade Tuch to Ovechkin. That is huge. Get after it!
