One thing to be very careful of today will be the Boston Bruins vs Buffalo Sabres game. Morning skate was postponed due to Covid positives so we are going to put the Bruins we like on our alternate list for once the game is confirmed to be happening.

Past that there are several nice matchups so we are doing another day where we go ham and take a little bit from everywhere. If you are looking for some more pointed advice then start with the Panthers, Islanders, and Hurricanes team. The Predators, Flyers, and Blue Jackets are not having the best of times right now so be careful there.

Here’s a wide lineup For DFS Hockey 3/18/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid $9,200
Center  $3,700
WingF. Forsberg $7,300
Wing
Wing  $3,200
Defense
Defense
GoalieA. Vasilevskiy $8,500
Utility

Connor McDavid just had another three point night. Do we even need to write a paragraph extolling his virtues? There is no surprise here, just put him in your lineup. He may face Laurent Brossoit instead of Connor Hellebuyck, which would make this all the juicier.

Filip Forsberg. As much as we may lean away from the Predators in general there is a huge opportunity here. Forsberg is nearly a point per game stud and has not scored in a few games. He cannot be contained for much longer.

Andre Vasilevskiy is always a solid bet. He and the Lightning are absolutely crushing right now and there is no reason to believe the Blackhawks will stop them. Everyone except Kucherov is healthy and we expect them to dominate down the stretch.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • Two stout defensemen.
  • A rookie making a run.
  • A goalie swap to allow for some Bruins love.

Pius Suter – C. We are now doubling back and cooling ourselves off with a great Chicago pick today. Their second line with Kubalik and Hagel are going to be turning heads for the next few years. They just need to find the perfect center and it might be Suter. He has seen top line time and played well but this is where he belongs.

Paul Stastny – W is a venerable player. He is on his second tour in Winnipeg and has found it to be rather comfortable. He is getting top line time and thriving. Normally, he is a center but this is a powerful piece to be hiding in the wings.

Trevor Zegras – W. It is admittedly a little risky to be putting such a young talent on our roster as his streakiness is not necessarily his fault. The Ducks though have some fight left in them and we really like him playing with Adam Henrique. That guy knows how to battle through adversity and will be a great mentor to Zegras.

Devon Toews – D. The Islanders were forced to part with Toews due to cap hell. They acquired two second round picks which will not likely yield a player of Toews’ caliber. He is playing very well for Colorado and will keep getting chances as their blue line is ravaged by injury.

Neal Pionk – D. The big knock on Pionk is his lack of power play time. But if you look at his five on five numbers you will see a fantastic player. He is a big part of the Jets success. We went with his partner Morrissey yesterday and nabbed an assist for our trouble. Shift the chips over to Pionk who should pick up any slack tonight.

Brandon Saad – U. Saad came up big for us the other day when we picked him and he got a goal and assist in the Avalanche’s pounding of the Ducks. His center Nazem Kadri is on fire right now. This team is scary.

Alternative Moves…

Jake Oettinger – G. Save a few hundred bucks on Vasi and pick up Jake. He has been a fantastic replacement for Ben Bishop and faces a weak Red Wings team. The Stars in general are getting back to healthy and need some strong games to try and get into the playoffs.

Patrice Bergeron – C can be swapped for McDavid. The Bruins need an offensive spark and their new captain should be able to use the Sabres as kindling. If they do play tonight expect a big game from the big bad Bruins.

David Pastrnak – W cannot stop scoring goals. It seems like Brad Marchand has decided to just become a playmaker for Pasta as he has been serving the smoothest sauce around. Pastrnak does not cared about missed games, he wants another Rocket Richard trophy.

We are stoked for these lineups today! Get that first ticket in and then if you have some time make sure the Bruins are playing and put in a second one. There is a ton of opportunity tonight so go seize it. Are you swapping in anyone else over our picks? Come heckle us about it on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Cheers.
