If you got to watch Vancouver play Ottawa last night like we suggested you would have been entertained. While the Senators may not have had the result we were hoping for they certainly tried. Thatcher Demko put on a show and stopped over forty shots. This team is way closer to relevance than a lot of people are giving them credit for.
There are a few different matchups to try and exploit today but we are focusing on the scapegoats. The Sabres, Ducks and Red Wings just offer so much opportunity to score goals. We will be putting together a cast mainly from New Jersey, Carolina and Colorado to help you smoke the competition.

Nathan MacKinnon is getting up there in price but he has scored a goal in his last two games. In the game before that he did not register a point but still put up an absurd ten shots on goal. The Avalanche are the team to beat and he is a big reason for that.
Ryan Graves is also a bit more expensive than we would like but he offers such a solid floor that he is hard to pass up. His 7.5 FPPG is what one should expect out of him but with an off chance that he gets on the board himself.
James Reimer. We had sent Grubauer to our editor just before Hunter Miska was confirmed for Colorado. That is probably not a great play so we are calling an audible and going with Reimer. He has been a fantastic backup and has won his last four starts. Let them give Nedeljkovic some rest and feel good about it

Pavel Zacha – C is a solid cheap center with a great matchup. He puts up points more often than not and is currently the top center in New Jersey. He is also top power play and they face an abysmal Sabres team that has lost 11 in a row. They will find a win one of these days and while the Devils are a prime candidate, they are not there yet.
Kyle Palmieri – W. We are stacking Palmieri with Zacha today and feel good about their line. Looking at their stats is not the most confidence inspiring but he has had a decent year and the matchup is the real juicy part here. He also plays top power play and is worth a look.
Brandon Saad – W is solidly over a half point per game which is a percentage we like to see. He hangs out on the second line in Colorado with Nazem Kadri and they are capable of doing some damage.
Yegor Sharangovich – W is a player we have been waiting to put on our list. He is having a surprise breakout season and although he is on the third line there is more than meets the eye here. His linemate Kuokannen has had a good couple games and he Yegor also gets second power play time. We like what they are building there.
Dougie Hamilton – D is absolutely crushing it right now. He has points in his last eight games and appears to be fully healed from the fracture he sustained last season. It is great to have him back and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do against the Red Wings.
Martin Necas – U is another guy who is really pushing the limit of his price. That said he is playing with Sebastian Aho and knocking this season out of the park. If he can maintain that top power play time in Carolina he will always be a good investment.
Sebastian Aho – C is a great alternate to MacKinnon and saves you a fat stack to upgrade where you see fit. He is sitting at just under a point per game and because of that seems to fall out of the elite conversation. He is still up there.
