NHL DFS Picks For March 13, 2021

Sidney Crosby DFS
PITTSBURGH, PA - JANUARY 24: Pittsburgh Penguins Center Sidney Crosby (87) looks on during the second period in the NHL game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Rangers on January 24, 2021, at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. (Photo by Jeanine Leech/Icon Sportswire)

It took some elbow grease to afford McDavid and Draisaitl but it all paid off. Talbot earned himself a shutout, Tarasenko scored his first goal in a long time, and the Hertl/Meier combo we have been waiting for crushed it. There were a couple more juicy picks but we cannot let you know all our secrets. Subscribe now to find out how we find value for you night in and night out.

Today we have another overflowing bucket of games. Even without the early ones there are ten matches to look through. Let’s get started. Pittsburgh is on a four game win streak and are up against a Buffalo team who will be without Eichel again. The Lightning should zap the Predators. The Islanders may continue to not let many goals in against the Devils. Focus on these to maximize winnings.

Here’s a lopsided lineup For DFS Hockey 3/13/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterS. Crosby $7,400
CenterM. Barzal $5,800
Wing  $7,700
Wing  $4,300
Wing  $3,400
Defense  $6,400
Defense  $3,100
GoalieVasilevskiy $8,500
UtilityM. Marchment $3,400

Andre Vasilevskiy got a rare night off in the Lightning’s last game. They in turn lost to the Red Wings and should know now not to mess with our lineup. They should come out strong tonight to make sure the Panthers are not also sneaking points out from under their noses.

Sidney Crosby might be having a down year with only a point per game. What a scrub. The Penguins have found some new life now that most everyone is back to healthy. We will have a couple more from Pittsburgh to stack with the future hall of famer. Stick with us until after the break.

Mat Barzal. If you have not seen his highlight reel goal from this past week make sure to go find it. It was filthy. Between the legs after having run right through Rasmus Ristolainen, no small feat. He is the offense in front of a strong defense and has a fun new weapon now that Andres Lee is sidelined.

Mason Marchment. It would not be one of our articles if we did not have a cheap talent that is lining up with Alexander Barkov. The revolving door on the left wing has produced fantastic results for Coach Q and for our payouts. Marchment was undrafted and is finally getting his chance in the big leagues. Six points in nine games and a spot next to an elite center is something we buy all day.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?

  • Handcuffs for Crosby and Barzal.
  • A blend of high floor and high ceiling defenseman.
  • A rookie phenom in our utility spot.

Jake Guentzel – W ($7,700 DK) actually costs more than Crosby right now which is a little nuts. Take them as a pair and watch them work their magic. The league is a better place for a healthy Guentzel and we wish him all the best.

Anthony Beauvillier – W ($4,300 DK). Long time readers will remember us picking Beauvillier in the playoff bubbles quite a bit as he keeps providing us depth. He has moved up to the top line with Barzal while Lee is out and he is never one to pass up a good opportunity.

Kris Letang – D ($6,400 DK). The power play will be the thing to watch in this game. It’s all the guys we have taken from Pittsburgh so far plus Evgeni Malkin. It is a little dated but it is still effective. Letang has gone a few games without a point which means he is due. The poor Sabres are going to have another difficult night.

Adam Pelech – D ($3,100 DK). Along with Ryan Pulock these two form a wall that opponents have a tough time breaching. They have both started to get back on to their offensive horses but still offer good peripheral floors. Pelech is the cheaper one with around the same upside.

Oliver Wahlstrom – U ($3,400 DK). It would be easy to talk about this guy’s rookie year and that he is only playing on the third line but we want to highlight the other important piece here. He plays with Jean-Gabriel Pageau who might be the best third line center in the game right now. The best part about this is what Wahlstrom gets to learn from his underrated teammate.

Alternative Moves…
From the games we highlighted we were able to afford you the most expensive players so we will just do some cost cutting here if you are looking at other games.

Semyon Varlamov – G ($8,500 DK). Investing in Long Island is the cool thing to do. Varlamov is having a Vezina caliber season and looks to be in top form. Save a few hundred bucks to invest in some other blue chips.

Kyle Connor – W ($6,400 DK) scores a goal roughly every other game. Let us check our notes here. It is time! Connor has been incredibly productive this season and is a threat every time he is on the ice. Swap out Guentzel for a nice chunk of cash to invest elsewhere.

Morgan Rielly – D ($5,600 DK). Swap out Letang to have enough cash in hand to rival Evander Kane on a weekend bender in Las Vegas. Keep an eye out for him tomorrow as well on the back-to-back where the Leafs will play the Senators.

The end of the week is upon us but the fun don’t stop here. We will be back tomorrow with more value and insights into the best game on earth. Did you payout yesterday with our cards? Let us know you did on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Cheers.
