NHL DFS Picks For March 12, 2021

Leon Draisaitl DFS

The Edmonton Oilers have put together the beast. They have moved Draisaitl up from second line center to top line winger. He and Connor McDavid are game breakers and this power move by Dave Tippett is going to make the Ottawa Senators night rather unpleasant.

Here’s a booming lineup For DFS Hockey 3/12/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid $9,300
Center  $3,900
WingL. Draisaitl $8,900
Wing  $5,600
Wing  $4,700
Defense  $3,100
Defense  $2,600
GoalieC. Talbot $7,900
Utility  $3,900

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl together are nearly unstoppable. They will be split up again at some point to distribute the wealth in the lineup but take advantage while it is here. It will probably show back up again as we get closer to playoff time but assume this is a limited time offer. Buy now!

Cam Talbot is the confirmed starter as of writing this article. That probably means that Kahkonen will still somehow end up in net but we are trying to find a goalie win here. Talbot is a little more reliant on his offense scoring but the Coyotes do not put up the biggest shot and point totals so he should find a happy medium tonight.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?

  • A second line stack that we have been wanting to pick all year.
  • It is time to activate your trap card.
  • Powerful alternates for two great lineups.

Tomas Hertl – C ($3,900 DK). To afford the big guys we are going to have to do some work to find some sneaky value. Hertl has missed time due to injury but is finally slotting back in the lineup. He will be hungry and has nice options on his wing to help him out. This is a big win for the Sharks.

Timo Meier – W ($5,600 DK). Timo has been doing alright without his favorite center but this helps out his value immensely. Stack these two to see if they can find the success they have seen in the past couple seasons.

Vladimir Tarasenko – W ($4,700 DK). Speaking of returning players, Tarasenko is looking alright out there. We hit the pause button on his first and second game back and he came out with one assist. His ice time is going up which is encouraging and he will be up against Vegas’ third string goalie. Now is the time to activate him.

Matt Roy – D ($3,100 DK). We had to cut some corners and the biggest place to do so was the defense. Matt Roy is up and coming in Los Angeles and has a three game point streak. He is creeping up towards twenty minutes a game and looks to be good for a couple shots and blocks. They will need him at the top of his game if they want to stay in this versus Colorado.

Zach Whitecloud – D ($2,600 DK) is seeing extra ice time now that Pietrangelo is out injured. This may not translate to a ton of points but it is a great chance to up his game and see if he can pad some more stats for you. He is a late bloomer but we like the directions he is trending.

Alternative Moves…

Nathan MacKinnon – C ($8,800 DK). Swap out McDavid and still get one of the best players in the world at a discount. He had ten shots in his last game if you want to know how he has been playing. Not bad.

Max Pacioretty – W ($7,800 DK). Swap out Draisaitl for this multi-category monster. Patches does it all and he will do it in the most clutch moments. The top line in Vegas has a level of confidence in themselves that is hard to replicate.

Ryan Graves – D ($4,400 DK). Swap out Roy and most of your work is done. Graves put up another six shots on goal and the fact that none have gone in this season is starting to get a little crazy. It is tough that he does not get power play time but he does not need it.

It has been a little while since we were able to get you two solid cards but we finally got back to it. If you are feeling good there is the opportunity to double down with both these lineups and feel good about it. Are you picking the first, second or both?
