Jakub Vrana scored two goals in his second game of the season putting him at three so far. Is Auston Matthews canceled? No, he scored yet another one padding his lead in the Rocket Richard Trophy race. The Toronto Maple Leafs on the other hand have some serious questions they need to answer and there is going to be a lot of pressure on management to make some moves before the trade deadline which is rapidly approaching. The same goes for Vegas who lost to the Sabres in spectacular fashion last night. Can they bounce back?

The bounce back will happen but not tonight against Tristan Jarry and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Knights are coming off the back of a tough loss while the Penguins have had a couple days to lick their wounds after a close loss to the Panthers. They are just a formidable team.
We cannot really choose between Jake Guentzel and Bryan Rust. It feels like a true coin flip. Which one is going to score the goal? Will they toss up an assist for The Kid? This line is underrated and can take over a game in an instant.
Evgeni Malkin needs to see more page time here. We do not write about him enough while he continues to pad his hall of fame career stats. Even after all these years and obstacles he is over a point per game. Save on the other guy and give Geno a whirl.

We are still on the Vancouver Canucks wagon at least for another week. We like this matchup against the Capitals and will be taking either Bo Horvat or Elias Pettersson. Petey has been good to us recently but the captain Horvat has been keeping pace with him and they are crushing it. This is about as difficult a choice as with Rust and Guentzel, but it will all turn out good.
Putting Connor Hellebuyck in your net tonight should be done with caution. He comes in at the right price but the Islanders are looking to gain momentum and do what they can to save Semyon Varlamov. The way they will do that is backing up their 6-0 win last win with a ton of shots on net. How many can Helle stop?
Our top defensemen today is going to come in at a cool $5,000. Ryan Pulock will have his work cut out for him trying to stop the likes of Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele. He and Adam Pelech are an amazing top pair capable of top defense and at least starting some offense. We have been happy to see them both start to get on the scoresheet more while they make all the hits and blocks.
We have to shout out Zach Whitecloud again after noticing that he has moved up to the second pair albeit on the left side. He shoots right so this will be an interesting experiment. There is also an interesting look with Jonas Brodin. He is around a half point per game and the last few games have been quiet. He gets a smidgeon of power play time and the Wild are building some solid momentum right now. Everyone wants a piece.
Our last block of bargain wingers is Matt Boldy, Nik Ehlers, and Tom Wilson. All three of them continue to produce at an above average pace. Boldy is particularly fun right now given how young he is and how quickly he has become a difference making in Minnesota. To Ehlers’ and Wilson’s credit though, they have been doing it longer.
Super proud of the Vrana and especially Danault selections yesterday. So many scores to catch up on. Get your picks in, make sure to follow on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX), and go enjoy your weekend the best way you know how. Cheers.
