We try and not give away too much in our free section but one thing we will let you know is that after we picked our lineup today we had $1,000 left over. Go make the upgrades you want to make and enjoy the flexibility. We still stand by who we picked and really like the lineup. There are two big games today and these series may be close to decided by the time they are over. The Winnipeg Jets are really hurting without Mark Scheifele and the Montreal Canadiens are on an absolute tear. Over in the west the Colorado Avalanche are dominating the Vegas Golden Knights and are looking to continue to stomp on them. We wish we had more time to write more about all the awesomeness in games and talk about storylines but there is just too much going on! Stick with us and we will make sure you stay on track.

Here’s a tight lineup For DFS Hockey 6/5/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$9,200
Center
WingM. Rantanen$7,900

DefensePietrangelo$6,000
Defense
GoalieP. Grubauer$7,700
Utility $3,800

Nathan MacKinnon only has one assist in the last two games. What a bum, fire him into the sun! Just kidding, you always have to put this guy on your roster because the day that you do not he will go and put up a high fives worth of points. Hold the line and let the Avalanche do their thing.

Mikko Rantanen has actually been a little more consistent than MacKinnon in these playoffs. He is on fire right now and cannot help but put pucks in the net. Spoiler alert: we are not going for the full stack with Landeskog today but if you like him, you could always put him in for Rantanen. Keep buying Avs stock and hold either way.

Alex PietrangeloIn any other division the Golden Knights would be moving on. Unfortunately there is a mountain in front of them and it is not passable. They will battle hard and we do hope they eke out another win but for now put your money on Pietrangelo because if there is one thing he will do it is get in front of shots and leave everything on the ice.

Philipp Grubauer still stopped 40 shots in their loss to Vegas on Friday. This dude may end up winning the Conn Smythe trophy as most valuable playoff player if the Avalanche make the finals. He is playing phenomenally well and as usual has the firepower in front of him to win most games.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • Fries, cheese curds and gravy
  • Mark Scheifele’s replacement
  • Sports, sports and more sports!

Paul Stastny – C is listed as a gametime decision but was skating at practice. Double check before you make the pick but there is some good opportunity here. If he is in he will play the top line between Wheeler and Conner who are nuclear grade weapons. Losing Scheifele for four games makes their comeback almost impossible but this veteran has what it takes to turn this team around.

Brendan Gallagher – W. Montreal’s top line is a bit of an enigma. It is hard to tell when they are going to pop off or go cool. We are feeling good about tonight as they could use a big win to secure a third victory in this series. Gallagher is beloved in Quebec and at the very least is guaranteed to go out there and light a fire under his teammates.

Artturi Lehkonen – W is normally a depth player but with Tatar out he has moved up to the top line with Danault and Gallagher. He is a big physical winger and he even got an assist last game with the extra time on ice. There is a lot of untapped potential here.

Erik Gustaffson – D is a deep sleeper. If you are going to spend that cool grand you have in your back pocket it should go to upgrading this guy. That said, he has moved up to the top power play and they are giving him some extra responsibility. He did get one power play assist already and might have some more in him.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi – U has a mind blowing stat that you should know about. He is up there with Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby for goals scored before they turned 21. We do not have the exact number near us right now, but that is kind of crazy. You will be hearing us talk about him a lot next year.

The week begins anew and the hockey keeps on going. Even with only a few matchups left there is a ton to follow and keep track of. That is what we are here for! You take the rest of your weekend easy, give us a follow on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and enjoy yourself.
