NHL DFS Picks For June 5, 2021

Tuuka Rask DFS
PHILADELPHIA, PA - FEBRUARY 03: Boston Bruins Goalie Tuukka Rask (40) makes a save of the puck during the second period of the National Hockey League game between the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers on February 3, 2021, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. The Montreal Canadiens did what they needed to do and shut out the Winnipeg Jets to take game two. Carey Price continues to stand tall and give them every chance to succeed. Meanwhile, the Vegas Golden Knights stepped up and won an important match against the Colorado Avalanche. The usual suspect was in the middle of that fray. Max Pacioretty with the huge goal and a boat load of shots. The second round is already offering up overtime dazzlers and upsets and we are pumped for it to continue.

Today’s menu has more tight competition. The Carolina Hurricanes managed a big win against the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Bruins won their second of the series on an incredible shot from Brad Marchand. Both of these wars will be going to six or seven games and we are unlikely to see many blowouts along the way. The goalie choice still remains one of the most difficult to start our day.

Here’s a wild lineup For DFS Hockey 6/5/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Center
Center
WingN. Kucherov$8,200
WingA. Svechnikov$5,200
Wing
DefenseV. Hedman$5,800
Defense
GoalieT. Rask$7,800
Utility $4,800

Nikita Kucherov had another casual game.  Two assists and seven goals were good for 22 fantasy points. He is a beast out there. The Hurricanes do not have much of an answer for him and it shows. As injuries mount in Carolina, Tampa Bay will continue to steamroll.

Andrei Svechnikov will not be stopping Kucherovs play but he can offer up goal support to combat him on the scoresheet. Svech is back on the top line with Aho and Turbo. These guys together work magic and are probably a better line as a whole.

Victor HedmanThere are a few NHL awards this year that are just obvious who is going to win them. The best defenseman in the league is Hedman and we all know it. He will win the Norris this year and the big man deserves it. He is a force of nature and a bit of a cheat code.

Tuukka Rask is not at 100% but he has been saving Boston’s bacon all playoffs long. He stood on his head in the last overtime which kept them alive long enough for Marchand to play hero again. The Islanders offense has flashes of brilliance but is one of the weaker ones left in the race. Tuukka will try and steal another game tonight.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

Here’s a wild lineup For DFS Hockey 6/5/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterD. Krejci$5,100
CenterCirelli$3,400
WingN. Kucherov$8,200
WingA. Svechnikov$5,200
WingJ. Eberle$4,000
DefenseV. Hedman$5,800
DefenseC. McAvoy$5,600
GoalieT. Rask$7,800
UtilityT. Teravainen$4,800

David Krejci – C. Even when he had amazing wingers on his side, one of the biggest concerns around Krejci’s game was that he did not take enough shots. He was always passing even when there was an open net. That appears to finally have changed for the 35 year old as he has been peppering the Islanders goaltenders in this series. Add goal scoring threat to his resume and nothing will stop him.

Anthony Cirelli – C continues to be a nice cheap option with a high ceiling. Centering Steven Stamkos just opens all the doors. Stammer has been a little quiet recently with the top line doing the most damage but it will happen.

Jordan Eberle – W. Mat Barzal finally scored a goal and the dam may be breaking. Eberle has been holding it down with some decent consistency in shots and would love to set up his center for a couple tallies. He needs to make himself more known on the ice and is a candidate to swap out if you have another cheap option in mind.

Charlie McAvoy – D. The stallion continues to gallop toward the finish line. He set up the overtime winner and was already off the ice before the shot was taken. He has improved both defensively and offensively in just the post season alone and that does not take into account the progress he made during the regular season. He is the real deal.

Teuvo Teravainen – U. We had to sit here for a minute trying to remember his real first name but Turbo is in the right spot in Carolina. We are stacking him with Svech and are excited to see what they will do with Aho. Teravainen had a sick pass to Aho for a goal last game and we think that chemistry will continue to be magic.
