NHL DFS Picks For June 20, 2021 (Showdown)

Fluerry + Pacioretty DFS
LAS VEGAS, NV - FEBRUARY 26: Vegas Golden Knights left wing Max Pacioretty (67) and goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury (29) celebrate after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 during a regular season game Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, in Las Vegas. (Marc Sanchez/Icon Sportswire)

We have been told that the same referees that were used in game three will be used in game four in the Vegas Golden Knights vs Montreal Canadiens series. That is a rare time where game conditions will favor one team over another. There has been a glaring difference in number of penalties called with the Golden Knights not being penalized once in game two, which if you watched the game might make you raise your eyebrows.

That is the main story of today but we have to shout out Ryan Pulock for last night’s game winning save. With three seconds left in the game, Varlamov was way out of position while Ryan McDonagh made a beautiful spin-o-rama move and put the puck towards the net. Pulock somehow anticipated it and stopped the game from going to overtime. The series is tied 2-2.

We seriously cannot decide between Max Pacioretty and Alex Pietrangelo. Patches got an assist and five shots last game while Pietrangelo got a goal and three shots. Sure, based on price and that performance Pietrangelo is the guy to take but Pacioretty tends to have the higher upside. After writing all that we may go with the cheaper option but both are absolute studs.

We highlighted Alex Tuch who did end up staying as the top line center and he did not disappoint. Six shots was worth a bunch of points for us and we are going hard after him again today. Keep it simple.

We have another Golden Knight who is punching above his weight right now but we have to keep that one under wraps for our awesome subscribers. Come on over and have a great time discussing all the possibilities for what guarantees to be an exciting match.

There is a case to be made that you can afford both of the top guys we suggested earlier and probably should take them. If you are looking for a slightly cheaper but still high upside option consider Tyler Toffoli. He offers one of the best chances for scoring goals. There are few guys in the league that score more goals than assists and he put up 28 to 16. That is silly. Just silly.

As you round out your roster you should have a Canadien or two. The coin flip comes down to the two young, small guys that have all the flair. Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield continue to impress every shift and are the guys who are going to put more fans butts in seats. Suzuki put everything on the line last game with four blocks and assisted on a sick breakaway goal to Caufield. They are the future of this franchise.

Nicolas Roy has assumed third line center duties and he earned a goal. Our real prediction here is that he gets a couple more minutes this game and that he will continue to capitalize on them.

The new week begins anew and we are pleasantly surprised at how close these series are. For all important announcements follow us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Have a great Fathers Day.
