NHL DFS Picks For January 6, 2022

Sidney Crosby is our DFS pick for today

If you are not a subscriber yet, may we interest you in our defensive picks that were behind the paywall yesterday? Between them we got a goal, two assists and 10 shots! They were not the only goal scorers we took either. It was a good night to be a FantasyDFSExperts sub.

The pool widens quite a bit today with 11 games on the slate. There is a classic matchup with the Battle of Pennsylvania looming. It may not be much of a fight with the Penguins leveling everything in their path right now. The Florida Panthers will have a nice matchup against the depleted Dallas Stars. There are a lot of good games tonight that we cannot even list here. Let’s get to picking.

Here’s a flightless bird lineup For DFS Hockey 1/6/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterS. Crosby$8,200
WingE. Rodriguez$6,300
GoalieT. Jarry$8,600

Sidney Crosby’s line is back in full force. This is bad for just about everyone and especially bad for the Flyers. Coming off of a big win against the Blues, they will be using that momentum to win the back-to-back.

Tristan Jarry was on the bench last night and one of the best tenders in the league is going to be feeling fresh. Even if some of the other boys are dogging it a little he will cover them.

Evan Rodriguez is now listed as a wing which will make room for the rookie center we are drooling over. He should maintain second line center status on the ice until Malkin returns. He has lit the league up this year and if Pittsburgh has any local awards for MVP it should go to him.

Here Is What You Get If You Sign Up For $99 For Six Months
• Two very strong defensemen to choose between
• More wingers whose price does not even closely reflect their value. Absolute steals
• A 2020 first round top ten draft pick is making his NHL debut tonight. You need to take him

Marco Rossi is going to play in an NHL game. The road travelled has been more than bumpy with an early Covid sickness that left him in rough shape. There are not many guys shorter than 5’10” that we tend to go for, but those tree trunks for legs make him very difficult to play against. He will be worth the wait.

It is important to have a big boy defenseman who can score you all the points. There are a couple great options here today in Seth Jones and Aaron Ekblad. They will not break the bank and should be a great bang for your buck. Jones is an assist machine and the matchup against the Coyotes should have you licking your chops. Ekblad is a Norris caliber player on one of the most impressive offenses in the league. They will get it done.

We were considering putting Troy Terry in one of our buckets today, but decided we wanted to highlight him. He is a huge reason why the Ducks are outperforming expectations this year. Less than 5k for a PPG player? Easy clap.

The actual bucket of last minute adds has Jonathan DahlenAlexander Barabanov and Evgenii Dadonov. The former two are precocious youngsters carving out a career in San Jose. Dadonov is a journeyman who is seeing better minutes than his price suggests with the injuries VGK is dealing with. He is a high value pick today.

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before. Zach Whitecloud continues to hold down the fort for us. We did not have time to look into why his minutes dipped so much in his last game but he still came away with shots and blocks and that is all we have ever asked of him.
