Madison Square Garden is going to be a circus tonight. The New York Rangers host the Toronto Maple Leafs and both teams are humming right now. About 14 miles away at the Prudential Center the New Jersey Devils will face an Arizona Coyotes team that is picking up steam. Lastly, the Anaheim Ducks get a rematch against the Colorado Avalanche that did not go their way two weeks ago.

Here’s a cheeky lineup For DFS Hockey 1/19/22 (using DraftKings Values)

DefenseD. Toews$5,600

GoalieJ. Campbell$7,800

Jack Campbell has a monumental task ahead of him. Luckily, he has been playing out of his mind this year. There is a bit of risk in taking him with the offensive power that the Rangers have but if he wants to bring home an award this year this is the game to do it.

Devon Toews missed a big chunk of the beginning of the season but has come in like a whirlwind since then. He is 14th in points for defenseman but has done that in 10-15 fewer games than everyone else around him. He is one of four blue liners that is over a point per game. How can you pass him up at that price?

As usual we are going to let you figure out which insanely talented center to take and will offer up William Nylander as your top winger for the day. We are a little surprised that he has not moved up over Mitch Marner in the depth chart but his chemistry with John Tavares is hard to replicate. He is cruising at a point per game right now and is a serious scoring threat every time he steps on the ice.

Karel Vejmelka is going to be the reason that the Yotes do not get the first pick in next year’s entry draft. He is stealing games for them and has a nice little bonus of being across the rink from Mackenzie Blackwood who has not seen action in what feels like months. It’s only been a week and a half but we expect some rust.

If you are swapping out Campbell then you may as well add Adam Fox to your roster. He is one of those four we mentioned like Toews that gets you at least a point every night. Both of them are very well priced today so you may as well take both of them for the ceiling they offer. If you do lean towards the Leafs tonight then Morgan Rielly is your man for a few hundred less.

Mitch Marner’s demise has been greatly exaggerated. Is he earning that eleven million dollar contract? No, but he is no slouch and his game has to pick up at some point.   He got a goal and assist in his last game so it could already be happening. Get on that train before everyone else and enjoy the ride.

There are a couple of very cheap centers that will balance your big pick. Dawson Mercer is earning himself a lot of approval from management and fans and has got his career off to a hot start. Leading the Arizona Coyotes top line is Travis Boyd. You are not going to hear his name much outside of State 48 but he has been impressing as well.

It is looking like Sonny Milano will miss tonight’s contest and the guy in his place is Vinny Lettieri. He has done well with the couple opportunities given to him and at $2,500 he poses little to no risk to you. Double check on his status before you submit your picks but he is worth some consideration.

The week rolls on and so do we. Did you take Skinner yesterday? An assist and four shots were a nice little bonus. Any updates and changes can be found on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). See you tomorrow!
