NEWARK, NJ - JANUARY 14: Boston Bruins center Brad Marchand (63) celebrates with teammates Boston Bruins center David Krejci (46) and Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron (37) after he scores during the first period of the National Hockey League game between the New Jersey Devils and the Boston Bruins on January 14, 2021 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Two games today mean fewer options for high value players but we have you covered. As you may know we charge $99 per year for an all-access pass to all of our DFS advice (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, PGA and League of Legends). To guarantee your success we even offer you your first month free to make sure you love FantasyDFSExperts.com before you pay us for the year. What’s new at FantasyDFSExperts.com is that we are going to give you more guidance towards lineups for free and then other guidance and or possible lineups for subscribers on the other side.

The season has started off strong and matchups will be contentious all season long. With a ton of uncertainty around what games might be postponed and which players may be benched due to play or pandemic let us take care of you and do all the research. We found some gems today that your opponents are probably not aware of. One of the best lines in hockey is kicking it into gear while a couple smaller market teams go at it to try and climb to the top of the pile. The opportunity for goal scoring that we gave you yesterday is not here but there is a high floor to be had if you know who likes to shoot.

Here’s a Shot Taking Oriented Lineup For DFS Hockey 1/14/21 (using DraftKings Values)

         C       P. Bergeron                            $7,400 (DK)

         C       __________                             $4,500 (DK)

         W      B. Marchand                         $7,400 (DK)

         W      __________                            $5,700 (DK)

         W      __________                            $3,700 (DK)

         D       O. Ekman-Larsson              $4,700 (DK)

         D       __________                            $4,600 (DK)

         G       J. Halak                                $8,000 (DK)

         U       __________                            $3,900 (DK)

Even though David Pastrnak is not slated to be back in the Bruiins lineup until early February the rest of the top line remains one of the most dangerous in the league. Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand are a dynamic duo that can use whoever is on the line to win a game. Marchand had a goal, an assist, and the shootout winner in the last game against the Devils. He wants to start hot and we are happy to let him.

Sticking with the Bruins we think the best goalie option today will be Jaroslav Halak. The team in front of him is very good at scoring points and he is no slouch himself. He may be listed as a backup but he won a lot of games last year for the boys in black and gold. They have every confidence in him and so should you.

Our last free pick for the day is Arizona stalwart Oliver Ekman-Larsson. The Sharks continue to be a team that will be mediocre this season and their goaltending will be a big part of that. He had a down year last year but he has an impressive resume when it comes to scoring goals as a defenseman particularly on the power play. The captain of the Coyotes will look to establish dominance early.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now?
• High floor shot takers.

• An emerging power play quarterback.
• A potential Bruins killer.

Christian Dvorak – C ($4,500 DK) is the top center in Arizona. He had four shots and an assist in the last game against the Sharks and the 24 year old is hungry for more. He has veteran Phil Kessel on his wing and he holds top power play time for now. For almost half the price of Bergeron there is a lot of juicy value to be had here.

Phil Kessel – W ($5,700 DK) was the goal scorer on Dvorak’s assist and is looking to be a leader on the ice for a young forward group trying to find its place in the league. The multiple time Stanley Cup winner would love to have a bounce back season and the initial outlook is good. Get in now while the getting is good.

Jack Studnicka – W ($3,700 DK) was one of our picks two days ago and while he did not score any points we are not concerned. He remains a cheap option with a ton of upside. If you had stacked him with Marchand you came out ahead. We now put together the whole line and look to absolutely dominate the lowly Devils.

Matt Grzlyck – D ($4,700 DK) is a name worth learning. In the absence of Torey Krug the Bruins are looking to Grz to be the top power play defenseman for them. He will be putting up lots of shots at the very least and will be feeding one of the best power plays in the league.

Miles Wood – U ($3,900 DK) was a thorn in the Bruin’s side in their first game of the season. He is young and full of energy. You will see him crashing the net and being as much of a nuisance as possible. He may be taking cues from Brad Marchand as he learns how to get under other players skin. He put up a goal and five shots and we will roll that hot hand for cheap money.

Alternative Moves…

• Darcy Kuemper ($7,900 DK) may have been a Vezina candidate last season if it were not for injury. He kept the Coyotes in games they did not deserve to be in. Playing against a weak Sharks team is a great matchup. He will see more shots than Halak just based on defenses so he is a slightly higher risk but much higher reward.

• Tomas Hertl ($6,200 DK) had a tough season but so did the rest of his team. He gets top power play time and has Evander Kane on his wing who is always dangerous.

• Speaking of Evander Kane ($7,000 DK) who got two assists, a goal and seven shots the other day we are keeping an eye on him. We do not want to try and chase too hot of a hand as he is not likely to replicate that again but he will put up four to five shots. If you want to roll the dice this is your guy.

• Conor Garland ($5,200 DK) is another young stud on the Arizona Coyotes. He will be paired with one of our top centers in Christian Dvorak and has been making gains every year. He has a goal and an assist already. Like Kane we are not sure he does that again immediately but we noticed and you should too.

The first week in the new season is coming to a close and the action could not be hotter. We hope you are getting all the value from our picks as you can get. We are happy to see that we are already hitting the mark and encourage you to play with the alternates we suggest. If you went with Travis Konecny yesterday then you are had a great start to the weekend.
