We’ve got a new twist on how we are going to tempt you to become a subscriber. As you may know we charge $99 per year for an all-access pass to all of our DFS advice (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, PGA and League of Legends). To guarantee your success we even offer you your first month free to make sure you love FantasyDFSExperts.com before you pay us for the year. What’s new at FantasyDFSExperts.com is that we are going to give you more guidance towards lineups for free and then other guidance and or possible lineups for subscribers on the other side.
While it has been a couple months since the playoff bubble it does not feel all that different watching the new season of hockey. Divisional rivals are already at each other’s throats and overtime games are quickly becoming the norm. Just like yesterday we are going heavy on goal scorers to maximize your points and put you in position to destroy the competition. If you are a subscriber and followed our advice on the cheapest player Kirill Kaprizov, you are a richer person today. Two assists and a game winning goal for the Russian did not surprise us at all. Stick around to see whose star will be rising tonight.
Here’s a Goal Scoring Oriented Lineup For DFS Hockey 1/14/21 (using DraftKings Values)
C A. Matthews $8,100 (DK)
C __________ $3,700 (DK)
W B. Tkachuk $6,600 (DK)
W __________ $6,500 (DK)
W __________ $4,000 (DK)
D __________ $5,100 (DK)
D __________ $4,100 (DK)
G A. Vasilevskiy $8,500 (DK)
U E. Dadonov $3,100 (DK)
We are again anchoring our lineup with a stud goalie. The Lightning are still a powerhouse having pulled a magic rabbit out of their helmet to stay underneath the cap. Andre Vasilevskiy has all the tools to crush this game. To complement him up front we are looking at Auston Matthews who is a heavy favorite to win the Rocket Richard trophy. He may not have scored in the opener but no one can stop him for long.
Our bonus free stack today is Brady Tkachuk and Evgenii Dadonov. Not everyone is looking at the Senators and licking their lips in anticipation of fantasy miracles but we are. Dadonov is a recent addition to the team and will be the best winger Tkachuk has played with. Brady was top in the league for shots on goal last year and is going to be an absolute nightmare to play against.
Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now?
• Another low-key top line stack that is going to make waves this year.
• Offensively minded, shot taking defensemen.
• A cheap center who has already put up points this year.
Dylan Strome – C ($3,700 DK) is going to be the top center for the Chicago Blackhawks while captain Toews recovers from illness. He already scored a power play point and will have one of the most dynamite weapons in the game with Patrick Kane on his wing.
Taylor Hall – W ($6,500 DK) came out swinging in the Buffalo Sabres first game with a power play goal and an assist. The rest of the league should be worried about this top line with Eichel and Olofsson. He took a one year deal and went where he wanted and we are seeing why.
Victor Olofsson – W ($4,000 DK) is another player whose stock is going to be rising fast. He had a really solid year last year and the addition of Hall just raises his ceiling that much more. Consider not even playing Hall and using that $2,500 savings to upgrade to another player in our alternatives list. He got the same amount of points as Hall, so we think the stack is worth it, but you have options here.
Torey Krug – D ($5,100 DK) is a new addition to the St. Louis Blues but is a veteran offensive defensemen. He was the go to guy in Boston for the power play and he will assume that role for the Blues. He has no problem taking every shot given to him and also distributes the puck well to rack up assists.
Rasmus Dahlin – D ($4,100 DK) is cheap given how high everyone is on him this year. He struggled a bit last year with injuries but the young gun is healthy and ready to lead the Sabres power play much like Tory Krug. The coaches will be trying to figure out how to get the offensive dynamo more minutes to play and that is going to be huge for your team.
Alternative Moves…
• Alex Ovechkin ($8,400 DK). Never sleep on the Great Eight. He may have only got two assists last game which is not much for him but even an underperforming Ovi is an overperforming fantasy player.
• Patrick Kane ($6,900 DK) is another player who cannot help but score points. He still has a ton of value on a depleted roster and should never be underestimated.
• Mitch Marner ($6,200 DK) is Auston Matthews’ partner in crime. We have ranked him as an over a point per game player this year which means he is more likely than not to get on the board. We broke up the stack in favor of Buffalo but if you are feeling the Leafs do it with confidence.
• Travis Konecny ($4,400 DK) is a rising star on the Flyers. Another point per game player and is only 23 years old. We wish he were still in the same division as Marner as they are going to have similar paths over their careers.
You may be just getting your fantasy season started but we never stopped. We have been looking at roster moves, prospect rankings, and divisional realignments so that we could hit the ground running. We are glad you are here with us to enjoy this season watching and making money on the best sport on earth.
