NHL DFS Picks For January 10, 2022

Patrice Bergeron DFS
NEWARK, NJ - JANUARY 14: Boston Bruins center Brad Marchand (63) celebrates with teammates Boston Bruins center David Krejci (46) and Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron (37) after he scores during the first period of the National Hockey League game between the New Jersey Devils and the Boston Bruins on January 14, 2021 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The mix of the three games is interesting. You have an almost guaranteed win with the Colorado Avalanche over the Seattle Kraken. A very good chance that the New York Rangers beat the Los Angeles Kings. Then there is a coin flip with the Boston Bruins over the Washington Capitals. The only reason the Bruins win the flip is Capitals goalie situation. The Kraken do stand a chance with Pavel Francouz in net and who knows what the Kings will bring tonight. They could totally bring it to the Rangers but we are erring on the side of no.

Here’s a bear-y good lineup For DFS Hockey 1/10/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterP. Bergeron$6,900
Center
WingD. Pastrnak$6,800
Wing
Wing
Defense
Defense
GoalieL. Ullmark$7,500
Utility

The biggest thing going for Linus Ullmark and crew is that they face Zach Fucale. Fucale is a fresh face in the NHL and had a great couple starts but did just get handed his first loss. On top of that the Bruins have started to slowly put together some momentum. If they can take down the Capitals they should be looking at a breakthrough couple weeks that may see them climb out of the wild card spot.

You can have one of the nicest players for a very nice price. Patrice Bergeron is having yet another stellar year with higher points per game than usual and he is closer to 37 years old than he is 35.

David Pastrnak finally scored a couple goals and here is to hoping he has a couple more in him tonight. We have long held that he is a bit of a one trick pony and the league has figured that out. He is still extremely skilled but needs to do a bit more work to truly earn elite status this season. Take advantage of his drop in price.

Here Is What You Get If You Sign Up For $99 For Six Months
• An elite defenseman who is seeing an unexpected drop in cost
• A swap for Pastrnak to a more consistent superstar
• Enough low cost picks to afford another elite player

Cale Makar is a few hundred dollars cheaper than usual. He is still expensive as far as defense goes but he has 30 points in 26 games. That is insane for a blueliner. The youngster is on a roll on a surging Avalanche team and is always worth finding room for. You could also go after Adam Foxwhich saves a huge $1,500. He is up against the Kings and a Jonathan Quick who has been faltering as of late.

Taking Avalanche players is usually a good idea so if you are not feeling Pasta, swap him out for Gabriel Landeskog. The captain is on at least a ten game point streak and has five goals in his last four games. This is really a stronger pick overall for a few hundred dollars less

We have not gone after Chris Kreider once this season. In his last ten he has five games where he got the five shot bonus and is sitting pretty at 21 goals on the year. That is good for fifth in the league. Might he score five more tonight?

For less than $3,000 you can have a second line winger that plays with some of the best players in the world. Barclay Goodrow and Logan O’Connor have found their way into some cushy spots. Goodrow already has his cup but would love to help Artemi Panarin get his whole O’Connor is just getting started in his career and is next Nazem Kadri who is one of the biggest surprises of the season.

Looking at our second center we actually have a couple very cheap studs for you. We took Erik Haula a couple days ago and he chipped in an assist for Pasta. He is finding a home on Boston’s second line and we know he has a lot more potential. Spend a little more and get Bergeron-lite with Phillip Danault. Danault has scored in two of his last three games and is similarly adapting well to his new role on the second line.

If you take most of who we have offered today you will find that you have a pile of gold to upgrade whomever you want and that is after taking Fox as your second defenseman along with Makar. Good luck.

That is one of our best budgets of the season and we hope you can maximize it and make it your own. As you know we are on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Get rid of that case of the Mondays and get excited for some awesome hockey. Ciao.
