NHL DFS Picks For February 8, 2022

Patrice Bergeron DFS
NEWARK, NJ - JANUARY 14: Boston Bruins center Brad Marchand (63) celebrates with teammates Boston Bruins center David Krejci (46) and Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron (37) after he scores during the first period of the National Hockey League game between the New Jersey Devils and the Boston Bruins on January 14, 2021 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Our biggest win of last night was taking Matt Murray as our secondary goalie. The Senators came out hard and whooped the Devils. Our boy Brady did not get in on the action but that is actually a testament to how good this team is. They will not make the playoffs for a couple of years but there is a lot of talent to build on. Plus, they have games in hand on a lot of teams and will be featured a little more in the second half of the season.

Here’s a wacky lineup For DFS Hockey 2/8/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Center
Center
WingB. Rust$7,100
Wing
Wing
DefenseE. Bouchard$6,100
Defense
GoalieK. Kahkonen$8,000
Utility

Kappo Kahkonen is going to see his starts diminish now that Cam Talbot is back. That is no part due to his play. The tiebreaker right now is that Talbot makes more money. Kappo is starting tonight and we are happy to grab him with this limited time offer.

The defensemen today do not instill the most confidence when spending big. We are dialing it back to start with Evan Bouchard. He is seeing his presence on the Oilers blue line increase and with that his power play time is ramping up. Any time spent around McDavid and Draisaitl is worth taking a peek at. He is improving his consistency with blocks and shots and the points are starting to pile up.

Bryan Rust and Jake Guentzel are both great adds. We are leaning towards Rust since he is a little cheaper and looking at his last ten games, it’s like he is more than likely to get multiple goals in a game. Anyone playing with Crosby is getting a boost in the opportunity department.

Patrice Bergeron is having a remarkable year at 36 years old. The ability to control play and dictate what opposing defenses do is an incredible mental feat on top of staying healthy while the youth get younger and faster. Opposing teams do not score while he is on the ice.

We are not the biggest fans of Tony DeAngelo but he has kept his off ice antics to a minimum and his on ice tricks have been turning heads. We are still strongly considering doubling down on Sebastian Aho, but at the very least we ought to highlight a guy who got a goal and an assist last night.

Bo Horvat is probably going to take out second center position with a fantastic matchup against the Arizona Coyotes. This team is ready and reading to go after the break as they have some points to make up. Brock Boeser would be a good complement to the captain.

It has been awhile since we have had the bottom dollar winger pile, but there is a nice block around $4,000 today. Taylor HallConnor Garland and Brendan Gallagher are all on our radar.

If you are looking to trim down on defense, Alex Goligoski and Tyler Myers are quietly becoming fan favorites in their respective barns. They are grinding out their careers and slowly but surely being rewarded for it.
