We will be brief today as there are only three games. The Boston Bruins are looking to come back from a stinker yesterday against the Islanders. The L.A. Kings are continuing their surprising rise to the top. The Colorado Avalanche are trying to get back up to speed after some lackluster efforts. The Arizona Coyotes have been playing well and putting up points on unwitting opponents. The Rangers and the Wild will have their work cut out for them.
Here’s a Royal lineup For DFS Hockey 2/26/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Center | $7,900 | ||
Center | A. Kopitar | $5,700 | |
Wing | $8,800 | ||
Wing | D. Brown | $5,000 | |
Wing | $3,600 | ||
Defense | $5,400 | ||
Defense | $3,100 | ||
Goalie | J. Quick | $7,200 | |
Utility | G. Vilardi | $3,000 |
Put on your classic rock station because we are taking you back today. First on our list is Anze Kopitar who is 33 years young. His price has dropped nearly a grand over the last few games and that has us drooling. He is still at nearly a point per game and is the veteran leadership the prospect pipeline needs.
Dustin Brown is still four years away from 40 and is as fresh as ever. He is currently one of the top goal scorers in the entire league and has done a remarkable job of turning his physical style of play into that of higher skill. He is truly a special player.
The reports of Jonathan Quick’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. He is putting together a solid campaign and has won three straight. Did we mention that two of those were shutouts? The team in front of him is scoring and he is doing everything he can to keep the Kings on top.
Gabe Vilardi is over a decade younger than the rest of today’s crop but he is the future. With the ability to learn from Kopitar and the fire behind him with some of the best up and coming new players like Turcotte and Byfield, Vilardi is having to forge himself in fire. If he can stay ahead of the wave he may yet get the keys to the kingdom in a couple years time.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• The other major stack to take today.
• A young defenseman getting top line minutes.
• Full lineup advice
Patrice Bergeron – C ($7,900 DK) If you want to go after Nathan MacKinnon we will try and make the math work for you. The $9,000 price tag is not really earned right now and so we are spreading the wealth. Enter Bergeron. The captain of the Bruins will be looking to right the ship after an abysmal performance against the boys from Long Island. Just sweep that one under the rug and let him tear up the Rangers.
David Pastrnak – W ($8,800 DK) may have underwhelmed yesterday by his standards but he did put five shots on goal and we will take those sweet, sweet bonus points. He will be looking to make swiss cheese out of Alexander Georgiev and the Rangers tonight.
Jake Debrusk – W ($3,600 DK). We are going hard after Bruins and Kings today as you can see. Debrusk has had an interesting season where he is not seeing the points despite the hard work he is putting in. He passes the eye test with flying colors and is getting tons of shots. He was rewarded with an assist yesterday but he wants goals. They will come soon, kid.
Drew Doughty – D ($5,400 DK). All told it has been the youngsters winning the games in the last week but the old guard is coming back around to show how they won multiple cups. There is no need to doubt Doughty, he knows what to do.
Urho Vaakanainen – D ($3,100 DK). We would like to buy a vowel, Pat. Urho has benefited from the Bruins injury woes and is playing top line minutes with Charlie McAvoy. He picked up two assists in two games and should factor into a big comeback game.
If you are looking to get MacKinnon then swap out Pastrnak for Marchand and Bergeron for MacKinnon. That is all we have for today! Shout outs to Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and all you beautiful people on this fantastic Friday.
