The grind continues and the Vancouver Canucks continue to turn heads with new coach Bruce Boudreau behind the bench. They have the best record in the Pacific since he has been hired. That would be a big part of the reason we went after guys like Elias Pettersson yesterday who ended up with two goals and an assist. One of those goals was a slick short-hander which is even more bonus points for you! We have a couple more sneaky picks today behind the curtain so make sure to subscribe before all the juicy value is gone

Here’s a chill lineup For DFS Hockey 2/25/22 (using DraftKings Values)

As much as we gush about Florida and Colorado, there are honestly a handful of teams that could make their way to the Stanley Cup Final. There is no reason to count out the 2019 Champions the St. Louis Blues yet. They cannot seem to stop winning. The guy who won the Cup with them is now their backup and Ville Husso looks to be the guy for the next long while.

Torey Krug is not Alex Pietrangelo but he has been making an impact on the Blues blueline. He gets top power play time and while his numbers are not the shiniest on the board it is worth noting they are playing the Buffalo Sabres tonight. Krug has played them many times when he was in the same division when he played with the Bruins.

We are really happy for Vladimir Tarasenko and the fact that after a rough few years he is healthy and on good terms with his team. It was touch and go there for awhile especially when he did not receive the captainship, but it has all been sorted out. He has six points in his last four games and is always a good bet.

The New Jersey Devils are not having the greatest season. They are continuing to rebuild and have a lot of young pieces in place but it will be a year or two until they are playoff contenders. It is important not to completely throw the whole team away when there are some very good players making huge strides in their game. Jack Hughes was drafted 1st overall three years ago and it is clear to see why. It helps that they are playing the Blackhawks who also kind of stink this year

Not to go too hard after the Blues lest we put all our eggs i n one basket, but Brayden Schenn is one of those guys who struggled mightily to start the season but has come back with a vengeance. His average points are skewed towards the early season slump and you should pounce on the value. If you are feeling like your portfolio is too heavy in this stock, then go with our boy William Karlsson. The jury is still out on Jack Eichel’s return so go with the more sure thing.

We are going to spend a whole Benjamin more on Torey Krug and upgrade to Devon Toews. The fact that the Avalanche pretty much have more than one point per game defenseman is just not fair. Toews is just under but by so little we are not going to split those hairs. It must be a nightmare for teams to plan against this duo.

We are a little limited on defense today but the prices of these guys are too hard to pass up. Josh Morrissey is power play one in Winnipeg and the goal he scored the other day was chef’s kiss. It was a hard working yet skilled play and when he skated to the boards with arms wide open he just had a look of confidence on  his face that we really appreciated. This kid is awesome.

We are going to toss one more Devil on here and that guy is Yegor Sharangovich. He has been piling on points the last several games and when he is hot, he is HOT. We obviously avoid politics and global news here, but it is maybe worth pointing out that he is from Belarus and may have some strong feelings about what is happening across the pond. It turns out that hockey is a great way to express how you are feeling and he might be a wrecking ball tonight.

There are a couple more cheap wingers that are of interest to us tonight. Chandler Stephenson was a center all season long until Eichel came back. We expected him to drop down to the third line but with Mark Stone being shelved for the rest of the season, they moved Chandler up to the top right wing spot. Given how well he has played without superstars, this could be a great match. We are curious to see how he clicks with the new guy.

That should actually leave you within to grab a guy like Alex Tuch or Andrei Svechnikov. Svech is probably on the hotter streak right now and has a better matchup, but Alex Tuch is a big boy that can change the game on his own. We expect that he will keep his point per game pace regardless of opponent.

Hooray for Friday! Time to fire up the grill and hang with the homies. We hope your week has been productive and that you get to chillin like a villain this weekend. We will check in tomorrow and the day after just to make sure. You know about our Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) already and are totally Following, right? Peace in the Middle East! Or the Ukraine. Whatever.
