We have our work cut out for us today with ten games. We are lining up the cannons though and found a cheap goalie to help score the big point getters. There are some interesting matchups and opportunities so stick with us for our high risk but high reward alternates we put together today behind the paywall.

Our main focus today will be on the Winnipeg Jets vs the Montreal Canadiens. Claude Julien has been fired as the Hab’s coach after five years behind the bench. We could have sworn he was still the Bruins coach only a couple years ago but they time makes fools of us all. We have one other interesting matchup but you will have to pony up for a subscription. We cannot give it all away for free!

Here’s a crushing lineup For DFS Hockey 2/25/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid $9,000
Center  $4,800
WingD. Pastrnak                            $8,900
Wing  $3,800
Wing  $3,500
Defense  $6,100
Defense  $2,900
GoalieC. Hellebuyck $7,700
UtilityP. Dubois $3,000

Like Auston Matthews yesterday it is impossible not to make room for Connor McDavid. They are both otherworldly talent and can put up point totals in a game that most players would be happy to put up in a whole week. Great matchup tonight against Vancouver. Do it.

David Pastrnak is making his way into the elite of the elite. For now he is just normal elite but his price has moved past the usual ceiling of $8,500 which means he is a gamebreaker. He put up his second hat trick of the year against Philadelphia in their Lake Tahoe game and he is not done yet.

Connor Hellebuyck continues to be undervalued. The Jets are having a solid season and he is one of the best in net this year. The matchup against the Canadiens is extra interesting because they just fired their coaching staff. We do not know how they will respond but look for Winnipeg to capitalize.

Pierre-Luc Dubois has finally shown up in Winnipeg. After a bumpy ride leaving Columbus, a quarantine period, and an injury stemming from the time off Dubois came in clutch and scored the game winning goal. He is on the top line with Mark Scheifele and his price has not caught up to his potential.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
Another matchup you need to pay attention to.
A sleeper winger who is now a top center.
A hot take on where a rookie ends up this off season.

Pius Suter – C ($4,800 DK). We called Suter out when he got moved up with Toews missing time. He excelled and it has been too long since we have called his name again. He has locked in the number one center spot in Chicago and is flourishing.

Nick Foligno – W ($3,500 DK) is listed as a winger but he is top center in Columbus now that Dubois is gone. It is the usual carousel over there so it may not last but that price with the option of having Laine on your wing is too good to pass up.

Tim Stutzle – W ($3,800 DK). There is a bromance blossoming in Ottawa between Stutzle and Tkachuk. Our hot take is that Stutzle sticks around in the off season and works out with the Tkachuk family and puts on some mass. Until then he will be having a great time scoring goals and playing upset to other teams in the north. The kid is happy and so are we.

Charlie McAvoy – D ($6,100 DK) has been holding down top power play time and as much as he might get talked about is a little underrated. He is pushing a point per game right now and has really found his stride. The stallion is pure bred.

Adam Boqvist – D ($2,900 DK). We have gone after Boqvist before with mixed results but he is also seeing top power play time and is learning the ropes fast. We think there is a question surrounding the goalie situation in Columbus as Korpisalo will be getting another start. We will see how fresh he is.

Alternative Moves…

Sergei Bobrovsky – G ($8,000 DK) is a little more expensive than our main guy but he has an awesome matchup today. The Dallas Stars have been ravaged by injuries and their schedule has been all over the place. The Panthers are in a much stronger groove and are the favorites tonight.

Alexander Barkov – C ($6,500 DK). Swap out McDavid for Barkov and save a cool $2,500. We are going after this matchup hard and Barkov will back us up. He has obscene shot totals and his wingers have been outperforming all year. It may seem like a big downgrade but the extra cash to go after our full secondary stack.

Aaron Ekblad – D ($5,300 DK). Round out your other card with Ekblad. You know the drill, he is top power play on a good team with a great matchup. This is a great stack overflowing with possibilities. Swap out Boqvist and you have yourself a crushing blueline.

Are you putting in more than one card a day with our dual line approach? There is no need to go low with our picks and keep it to one entry. We are out here putting out a few lineups a day trying to maximize our earnings. If you have any questions or are seeing double payouts come over to Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and tell us all about it. Have a great Thursday and we will see you again tomorrow. Cheers.
