NHL DFS Picks For February 21, 2021

Quinn Hughes DFS

Connor McDavid just could not stand being overshadowed by Auston Matthews four point game so he put up five himself. The Canadian North division is in the middle of a nuclear arms race. Look forward to next Saturday when they play each other. It will be must watch hockey.

There are only three games to choose from today and while we normally are hyped for a Bruins vs Flyers game the ice in Lake Tahoe has been subpar. The Avalanche vs Golden Knights game yesterday experienced a several hour delay until the sun was gone. While this one has been rescheduled to the evening we are not hopeful for a high scoring affair.

Here’s a Canadian lineup For DFS Hockey 2/21/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterM. Scheifele $7,100
Center  $5,000
Wing                            $6,900
Wing  $6,400
Wing  $5,500
DefenseQ. Hughes $5,500
Defense  $3,000
GoalieC. Hellebuyck $7,400
Utility  $3,200

Connor Hellebuyck’s price is lower than expected although he does see a lot of shots. It is highly unlikely he gets the shutout tonight but it is a good matchup against the Vancouver Canucks who are struggling to stay relevant. High volume means potential for high scores.

Mark Scheifele is leading the Jets to a playoff berth. He has goals in his last four games and he has said he is modelling his game after Connor McDavid. He is an intense competitor who will be working hard on every shift for you.

Quinn Hughes. If you have been a subscriber for any amount of time you know that Hughes is our favorite consistent pick. He is all but guaranteed an assist every night he plays and is the number one blue line guy in Vancouver. He will be trying to solve the Hellebuyck puzzle tonight. Give him a shot.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
A second line stack that has been hitting hard this season.
More weapons out of Winnipeg.
Access to more daily fantasy sports than you will have time to consume!

Nick Suzuki – C ($5,000 DK) has slowed his torrid start to the season. It has been way too long since he scored but he has an interesting matchup against Ottawa. They will be starting Matt Murray who had to come in relief of Marcus Hogberg a day after he had just played. He will not be 100% today so the Canadiens will be looking to capitalize.

Josh Anderson – W ($5,500 DK). Stack Anderson with Suzuki for some serious firepower. The duo have found great chemistry and Anderson is the power winger that Suzuki needs to protect him. They are going to have a great few years together.

Nik Ehlers – W ($6,400 DK) has been tearing it up this season. He has over a point per game on the Jets second line. It will be interesting to see how Pierre-Luc Dubois fits into his line and the second power play which Nik is on. There is a lot of potential here. Stay tuned.

Brendan Gallagher – W ($6,400 DK) is a little pricey today after a couple good games but the matchup holds and so will we. He is having a nice season even with Danault not knocking it out of the park. He is good for a few shots at least and will be gunning for Matt Murray.

Alexander Romanov – D ($3,000 DK). We do realize this is a lot of Montreal Canadiens but we are shooting for the moon after a subpar day yesterday. Romanov got himself on the score sheet last game and the rookie is cementing his position on his team.

Artem Zub – U ($2,500 DK). Yes, we are putting up one Ottawa player and it is not who you might have thought. Zub is taking top pair time with Thomas Chabot being out. He is playing good minutes and is likely to eat a lot of rubber tonight. He is new on this side of the pond but he has KHL experience dating back several years when he was 18 years old. That is a big deal as Russia is not known for putting youngsters in its top league lineups.

Alternative Moves…

David Pastrnak – W ($8,600 DK). There is still a great chance that the Bruins and Flyers game goes off and when that does happen you want Pasta in your lineup. We had $700 left over from our main roster and the next couple moves will get you one of the best snipers in the game. Swap out Ehlers for the math to work out.

Kyle Connor – W ($5,700 DK). Another goal scorer to stack with Pasta. This will be a fun lineup. We almost have enough cash to make all this line up. Swap out Gallagher for Connor.

Shea Weber – D ($5,200 DK) remains one of the most feared blue liners in the game. We flinch sometimes sitting on our couch when he winds up his slapshot. He is deadly. Swap out Hughes and boom your day is done.

It is time to score some goals. Once we have done that we are going to score a couple more. When your picks light the lamp, come light us up on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and let people know how great a day you had. Happy Sunday!
