Yesterday’s games were everything we were hoping for and more. Florida made a thrilling comeback to beat Carolina in overtime, Winnipeg stood tall against Minnesota, Calgary ran unobstructed through Anaheim, and Colorado shut out Vegas upon the return of Jack Eichel.
Today will be a bit trickier to get through with all the games being played but we have a few studs lined up to get you going.
Here’s an sweet lineup For DFS Hockey 2/17/22 (using DraftKings Values)
We contemplated taking Dylan Larkin here but Detroit played last night and New York is a little rested. The Rangers have a lot of good things going for them right now and Mika Zibenejad is chief among them. He comes in at a more than reasonable price and word to the wise…Detroit’s backup goalie is a little suspect.
Keep that idea going strong and grab Adam Fox. He is a media darling and for good reason. The only knock on him is that he is an assist machine and goals can be hard to come by. With today’s matchup he might be due.
Ilya Samsonov and the Washington Capitals are a perennial powerhouse. We do not think their front office has been given enough credit for avoiding a rebuild for so long and staying at such a high level. They play the Philadelphia Flyers tonight and there is not much more we need to say about that.

Timo Meier and Brady Tkachuk are absolute beasts. Brady is maybe the better pick being a little cheaper and facing Craig Andersen and the Buffalo Sabres, but Timo can just turn it on and not give a single care who he is playing against. Did you see his five goal game a few weeks ago? We would be happy taking either.
Seattle may yield some sneaky good picks today. They and Edmonton are both playing against backup goalies and that is always of great interest to us. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been on a tear recently and Jared McCann is the top line center for the Kraken. They come in at the same price, so choose the matchup you like best.
If you do take McCann then you may as well stack Jordan Eberle with him. They are playing well together and get the majority of Seattle’s points. If you went with another option then Pavel Buchnevich should be high atop your list. The Blues are playing the Canadiens who have not yet reached 10 wins. We hope the addition of Marty St. Louis as coach sparks them a bit but they have a long way to go.
Look, we wish DraftKings made it a little harder to take Zach Hyman given his production. It is just a no brainer. Look at those stats!
Braden Schneider has made an immediate impact on the Rangers blue line and is getting comparisons to Jacob Trouba which is pretty high praise. We expected him to get sent down after his first mine games but he proved he belongs in this league. They may have also found him a partner that he is clicking with immediately. Keep an eye on him.
How thirsty are you today? You should probably drink more water. Just kidding, it is almost beer o clock. There is a bit more work to get some before then, but the cold one awaits.
