Your mind will probably be blown by all the star power we managed to pack into today’s lineup. We were able to afford everyone we want and are hoping for some overall high scoring games. Before we dive in did you go with our utility pick Eetu Luostarinen yesterday? He got an assist and that third line on Florida continues to build momentum. Good stuff.

Here’s a beefy lineup For DFS Hockey 2/14/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon $8,000
Center  $5,200
WingOvechkin                                        $7,800
Wing  $4,700
Wing  $3,500
Defense  $6,200
Defense  $4,600
GoalieP. Grubauer $6,900
Utility  $3,100

Let us package together the fantastic deals that are Nathan MacKinnon and Philipp Grubauer. MacKinnon has stated that he is playing and $8,000 is the lowest price you will ever find for this beast. We are going after Philipp Grubauer less for how good he is and more for the goalie situation across the rink. Marc-Andre Fleury will have to play back-to-back nights with Robin Lehner out.

Alexander Ovechkin recently eclipsed Mike Gartner on the all time goal list and sits by himself in seventh place with 711 goals. It is only a matter of time until he hits the mark left by the legendary Phil Esposito who lit the lamp an astonishing 717 times. You get the idea.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
Consistently high level point scoring defensemen.
For the first time ever no one under the age of 26!

Nazem Kadri – C ($5,200 DK). The second line center will be chomping at the bit to play. We expect a degree of high intensity physicality and grinding that will look to capitalize on a tired goalie.

Tom Wilson – W ($4,700 DK) is one of the most difficult wingers to play against in the game. He is the definition of power forward who can dish it out and can score in the same shift. He has come back down to earth in the point department from last year but he is still top line with Ovechkin. Solid price for a solid player.

Jason Zucker – W ($3,500 DK) sits on the Penguins second line with Evgeni Malkin as his center. Always look to him to put in a great effort every shift. He is a seasoned veteran that is no stranger to scoring and it has been a couple games since he found the back of the net.

John Carlson – D ($6,200 DK). What a deal for one of the highest scoring defenseman in the league and an annual Norris award nominee. His job on the power play is to feed Ovechkin pucks for one timers. This guy can print money when he wants.

Kris Letang – D ($4,600 DK) was one of our sneaky picks most recently and he rewarded us with an assist and a handful of shots. Like Carlson his ceiling is too good for this price.

Joonas Donskoi – U  ($3,100 DK) is as close to one of our young gun recommendations as you will get. The 28 year old is on the third line in Colorado but he is chugging along with five points in his last five games. He is purely a safe bet but ties today together nicely.

For the money today we do not have any alternates. We got in all the good guys and are content to roll with this one. If you strayed from our picks at all come heckle us on Twitter(@FantasyDFSX). Have a great day.
