We really wish we could have gotten some picks in for the early games that are going on right now. The Boston Bruins are crushing the Ottawa Senators and we expect the Detroit Red Wings are going to knock the Philadelphia Flyers around. Philly is in a tough spot having just lost Sean Couturierfor the season and are likely to not have Kevin Hayes back this year either. Looking forward to the evening games, though, we do have some fun choices in the Nashville vs Winnipeg game and you know we are taking some more Hurricanes after they knocked it out of the park for us.

Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Hockey 2/12/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Center
Center
WingM. Duchene$5,300
Wing
Wing
DefenseR. Josi$7,400
Defense
GoalieJ. Saros$8,000
Utility

Juuse Saros is a workhorse. This is his 7th start in a row and he has played very well over that stretch. Do not worry about the last dropped game, he is fine. The Predators are up against a Winnipeg Jets team that is all over the place. This is actually an extra nice game for Saros because we expect the Jets wil pepper him with shots, which only increases his ceiling.

Roman Josi is standing tall at the top of the elite defense list. He is absolutely crushing it this season and has plenty more in the tank. His numbers are up there with top forwards in the league and he keeps piling on the points. If the Jets do put Eric Comrie in net, this will be a one sided affair.

Matt Duchene is the most expensive Nashville winger today, coming in at a modest $5,300. That is a solid deal for a guy who has more goals than assists. The Preds do not have any superstars other than Saros and Josi, but it works for them. They are a well balanced team.

Sebastian Aho is a fantastic hockey player. Whenever he and Andrei Svechnikov are playing together, you should probably take at least one of them. Both if you can afford it. We will do what we can to try and get you both with some cheap picks later, but no promises.

Bo Horvat and Quinn Hughes are a couple of our old faithful fellows. Unfortunately, as we type that we find out that Hughes is in Covid protocols so do not take him! You can grab Oliver Ekman-Larsson instead. He used to be the top guy in Arizona until he was shipped out due to his bloated contract. He is still a good player and grabbed a goal in a recent game. He will fill Hughes shoes with no problem. Horvat is getting tons of shots in, we are not sure why he is not getting more goals. He is shooting at 11% right now which is low for him but still better than most in the league.

The final bucket is going to hold Teuvo Teravainen another stud for the Canes, Brock Boeser a good pair with Horvat, and Brayden Schenn one of the better setup guys for the Blues. We have some work to do to get ready for tomorrow so apologies for the short article today, we will be getting more in depth on Monday.
