NHL DFS Picks For February 11, 2022

Trevor Zegras Anaheim Ducks
PITTSBURGH, PA - DECEMBER 11: Anaheim Ducks Center Trevor Zegras (46) waits for play to begin during the second period in the NHL game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Anaheim Ducks on December 11, 2021, at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. (Photo by Jeanine Leech/Icon Sportswire)

Today’s games are a mix of weird matchups. There is the obvious lean to take the Tampa Bay Lightning over the Arizona Coyotes but how do Dallas and Winnipeg stack up against each other? The Islanders vs the Oilers does not seem like it will be a high scoring affair. We suppose the one to focus on today will be the Anaheim Ducks taking on the Seattle Kraken. The Kraken are not doing well in the standings but they give everything they have every night and this could be a nice rival building game against the Ducks.

Here’s a mighty lineup For DFS Hockey 2/11/22 (using DraftKings Values)

One of the quirks of the All Star weekend this year was that Trevor Zegras went, but not as a player. He will for many years to come, but it was nice to see the NHL lighten the mood and at least get him mingling with all the other stars. This kid is going places and you probably already know that.

John Gibson was the initial Ducks player that earned a trip to Vegas based on a phenomenal season. He has been working tirelessly for years now on a sub par team and it is all finally paying off. This guy deserves a lot more attention.

Kevin Shattenkirk has had a rollercoaster of a career, but that is an article for another day. He has found a spot in California where he is thriving and is the top offensive option from the Ducks back end. Check out his stats from last week.

Nikita Kucherov should have a field day today. The Russian winger is continuing his prolific career and the crazy part is people just shrug now. He just goes out there and gets it done every night.  Do not worry about the missed games as he was just in Covid protocol and is ready to produce.

We fluffed Mat Barzal’s feathers recently based on his new found ability to score freaking goals. The Isles definitely need to find him a better winger or two but he is currently on fire and his price just tumbled. The goaltending situation in Edmonton is bleak so this is an easy pick.

Finding a budget defenseman today is looking kind of difficult. We have narrowed it down to Ryan Pulock and Shayne Ghostisbehere. Pulock is getting his legs under him after missing about 25 games to injury. He already notched himself an assist and will start padding his peripherals again soon. Ghostbear is a pivotal piece of the occasionally surprising Coyotes. They will not win tonight but they will be giving it their all. Shayne is getting better and better at distributing the puck for the underdogs.

Jamie Benn is in an interesting holding pattern, never really exploding but never really stinking either. He is a solid middle-deep option that may pop off against a weak Jets team. We are also looking at Anders Lee as a stack with Barzal.

Out utility guy today is going to be Anthony Cirelli. It’s as easy as playing Tampa against Arizona. He needs to contribute a little more and this can be a building game for him.

Ilya Sorokin is our super secret pick of the day. We did not even want to tease him because the risk is so high with McDavid and Drai on the other side. That said, he offers a very high ceiling along with a very low floor. Tread carefully.

Did you earn this weekend? We sure did. As little movement as possible except for some 12 oz curls. The menu for Sunday is locked in, shopping and prep will be tomorrow, and then finally the big day! Find all of our posts on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and finish this Friday strong. Take care.
