NHL DFS Picks For February 1, 2021

Alexander Ovechkin DFS
WASHINGTON, DC - FEBRUARY 25: Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin (8) takes a shot in the second period against Winnipeg Jets center Andrew Copp (9) on February 25, 2020 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. (Photo by Mark Goldman/Icon Sportswire)

Welcome to February! We hope you double checked your goalies before you submitted your team as the Oilers pulled a fast one a couple hours after we published and started Stuart Skinner. He had a similar game to how we think Koskinen would have done albeit with a couple more goals allowed. C’est la vie.

For your pure entertainment tonight see if you can watch the Battle of Alberta. The Winnipeg Jets host the Calgary Flames in what will be likely be a monstrous battle. Two top goaltenders and high powered offenses will duke it out for dominance in the province.

Here’s a Dominating Lineup For DFS Hockey 2/1/21 (using DraftKings Values)

         C       P. Bergeron                            $7,800 (DK)

         C       __________                             $5,400 (DK)

         W      A. Ovechkin                          $7,500 (DK)

         W      __________                            $3,500 (DK)

         W      __________                            $3,100 (DK)

         D       J. Petry                                 $6,100 (DK)

         D       __________                            $5,100 (DK)

         G       A. Vasilevskiy                     $8,400 (DK)

         U       __________                           $2,800 (DK)

We have quite a bit of flexibility for you today with our budget having $600 left over to go after your favorite players. We will talk more about some of those options behind the paywall but there are some undervalued stars waiting to be drafted so they can vault you to a payout.

Patrice Bergeron leads our squad with confidence. The newly minted captain of the Bruins just gets better with age. With David Pastrnak back and healthy this line just got a ton more dangerous. We think he should cost a few hundred dollars more which means silky smooth value for you.

Alexander Ovechkin will be on the other side of the ice and as usual he only has eyes for the goal. Another player who should be over $8000 we love the value given to us here likely due to his absence for a few games. Take him and let him do his thing.

Jeff Petry looks like he hit a little skid the past few games where his time on ice dropped to 19 minutes. The last two games have seen that rise back up to 22 so he is primed to do some damage against Vancouver. His price is down $700 from last game. Steal him and run.

Andre Vasilevskiy is tasked with stopping the Nashville Predators who may just be three smaller cats stacked on top of one another in a big cat suit. He did give up a goal to each of them last game but we think the team will tighten it up and give him a big win.

Subscribe today for $99 for the year for all sports (no risk with one month free) and expect to find:
A sneaky $3,100 winger with breakout potential.
• A fourth liner who is actually producing goals at close to the minimum price in DraftKings.
Much more…

Elias Lindholm – C ($5,400 DK) is one of our favorite players although you might not know it this year. The Flames have been up and down and so we have not focused on them that much. Lindholm always deserves a look though. Inexplicably his price has dropped after getting two assists, a shot and a block last game. You will have your arms full of diamonds by the end of this article.

Nick Ritchie – W ($3,500 DK) has surprised us all this season. He is currently in Jake DeBrusk’s spot on the second line centered by David Krejci but he is also on the top power play. It is great to see him thrive there. He is a gritty player who will park himself in front of the opposing goalie and do whatever he can to help the puck in the net.

Kasperi Kapanen – W ($3,100 DK) has seen a consistent rise in time on ice and was rewarded for it last game. Did you pick him when we told you to? He got a goal and an assist and that gets you a long leash. His confidence is growing by the day and so is ours.

Rasmus Andersson – D ($4,800 DK) is trying to make a name for himself. He has the opportunity tonight against a heated rival. He is already willing to block shots in most games but we think he will be hitting a bonus tonight. Add on some offensive capability and you have a formula for big gains.

Tyler Motte – U ($2,800 DK) is flying under a lot of radars but know that all five of his points this year are goals. He shoots and he blocks. We do not usually toss fourth line guys on here but at that price and his production we cannot pass him up.

Alternative Moves…

• Elias Pettersson – C ($6,200 DK) has had his price stay somewhat depressed even though he has five points in his last three games. Petey is back and we are here for it.

• Kyle Connor – W ($7,000 DK) is in a bit of a drought right now but tonight is where he will shine. He is a pure goal scorer and has every intention of putting a barrage of pucks on whoever the Flames put in net.

• Adam Fox – D ($6,000 DK) had a big drop off in price in the last few days. Do not forget though that he is the top guy on the Rangers and is seeing a ton of ice time and top power play time.

Scheifele, Crosby, Marchand, Pastrnak and the list goes on. Tonight’s events will be marquee matchups with all the superstars. We built you a lineup that allows you to put in your favorite guy and not worry if you can afford him. If you hit big tonight get after us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). We will be back tomorrow with another full slate of juicy value. Cheers.
