NHL DFS Picks For December 9, 2021

Kirill Kaprizov

Mackenzie Blackwood with the shutout! Our other freebies were misses but behind the wall Max Pacioretty had a beastly game. This guy is buying into the changing mentality around the league about having fun while on the mic and we are here for it. There is a shift away from the old boys club and most of that is driven by the youth who want to be seen and want to be flashy. The Trevor Zegras puck flip is indicative of that. These guys have personalities and they are coming out. The NHL is going to be the most entertaining sports league in the world in the next few years. You heard it here first.

Here’s a Hollywood lineup For DFS Hockey 12/9/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Kirill the Thrill. Dolla dolla bill Kirill. Kirill Kaprizov’s got nicknames and a game that backs it up. He is exciting to watch. He does not even need to score a goal to get you out of your seat. Luckily, he does find the back of the net with some regularity. If you take him, try and catch some of his game. The Wild should scare most every team right now.

We do not know what kind of personality Jake Oettinger has because he has been buried behind what seems like a dozen other Stars goalies. But keeping with the youth, we like his chances tonight. Cal Petersen is another young stud across the ice, but has been struggling as of late. Dallas has been scoring a lot and that will boost Oettinger over the top.

Zach Werenski has come out from under Seth Jones’ shadow and we like how he is producing. Depending on how he is deployed he will probably get you a lot of one category, rather than a full spread. He should enjoy a nice long career in Columbus.

Here Is What You Get If You Sign Up For $99 For Six Months
• A blooming defenseman that acts like he has been in the league a decade
• A centerman that we will witness tear this league apart for the next 15 years

We are going hard after the next generation today and Moritz Seider is no exceptionHe will be the rule. He plays with a confidence you rarely see in someone so young. Getting him to play with Lucas Raymond is going to yield highlight reels for years. Raymond had cooled off a bit but is probably due for another pop off.

We are probably going after Sebastian Aho but are also considering saving a cool $500 and taking Roope Hintz instead. Hintz has had to deal with some tough injuries but when he is on the ice he scores goals. He does that way more than he gets assists and that makes him a gem. Aho is just the real deal. He does it all and does it every night.

Andrew Copp remains a bargain. Water is wet.

Apparently we just like Detroit today because we cannot take our eyes off of Pius Suter. Plucked from the Blackhawks he has nailed down second line center and is an above average player. He is easy to miss with all the other talent on the team, but he remains a pivotal piece of their success.

Our old guy for you today is Nick Ritchie. At the ripe old age of 26 he is on a four game point streak. How does he stay so fresh? It’s incredible really. He is the cheapest player you can get but he gets power play time and is more than willing to park his boat in front of the goalie to make it happen.

It’s Thirsty Thursday. What are you having to drink? A virgin bloody mary? One of the new Bobby Margaritas? We hope we can find those in stores near us soon. Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Later gator.
