NHL DFS Picks For December 8, 2021

Brad Marchand
TAMPA, FL - MARCH 03: Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand (63) skates against Tampa Bay Lightning center Anthony Cirelli (71) in the 2nd period of the NHL game between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning on March 03, 2020 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL. It has been over ten years but the Vancouver Canucks fans have not forgotten the loss to the Boston Bruins in the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals. There are only a couple of players still on each from that time. Heck, since Edler left there might not even be one for the Canucks. Expect a few boos as Brad Marchand returns from his three game suspension for slew footing Oliver Ekman-Larsson three games ago. It is pretty hilarious that his first game back is against the same team he incurred the penalty on. This will be a spicy matchup.

Did you take our best bargain pick of the day in Sonny Milano yesterday? Did you see the assist that led to his goal? It was lit.

Here’s a fire lineup For DFS Hockey 12/8/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. Stephenson$5,000

WingB. Marchand$7,100

GoalieM. Blackwood$8,000

The rat is back. He will be playing his usual high tempo game and still irritating the crap out of the Canucks. Their new coach Bruce Boudreau has seen Marchand play many times before and will be sure to try and game plan against it. Will it work? We do not think so.

Mackenzie Blackwood has had a bit of a tumultuous season. Overall numbers may not impress, but this is a pure matchup pick. The Flyers are having a really tough go of it while the Devils need to stop the bleeding from the past few games and turn things around. This could be a pivotal game for both teams as they are next to each other in the standings.

The Vegas Golden Knights full top line is in effect. We may or may not have one on our secret menu today. We definitely have a free one, though! Chandler Stephenson has turned many heads this year with his outstanding play. He is defensively responsible and one of the faster guys in the league. With Pacioretty and Stone by his sides, the sky’s the limit.

Here Is What You Get If You Sign Up For $99 For Six Months
• It’s a big boy winger day and we will afford a couple of the premium ones for you
• Another option in net if Blackwood is not your style
• Another $2,500 choice with some extra upside tonight, which will get you some very nice defensive options

Max Pacioretty has been one of our go to guys for a long time. We do not envy whoever Dallas puts in the net tonight. They will have their glove hands full. You could potentially just upgrade Marchand but we are going to try and afford both for you.

For your second center we think you should focus on Ryan Strome and Elias Pettersson. Strome got himself an assist last night and faces a weak Colorado goaltender tonight. Petey is going to make a comeback with a new coach. He already had the spark, tonight is when he gets on fire.

Could Conor Garland be auditioning for a trade back to his hometown? Boston has been exploring a trade market for Jake Debrusk and one name that has come up a couple times has been Garland’s. We are sure he is happy to have gone from Arizona to Vancouver but a move to Boston would be big time. Debrusk is also working hard to be his best in a tough situation. He can be had for cheap and he might eke out a gritty goal for you.

Are you a little hesitant to take Blackwood? We are too. It also turns out that by saving $200 and going for Robin Lehner that you can have two baller defensemen. In some ways it is higher risk because Dallas is a better team than Philly, but it is going to be an exciting matchup.

Take your pick of your two favorites from this big ole’ block of blueliners. Charlie McAvoyShea TheodoreDevon Toews and Quinn Hughes are all worth taking a few seconds to peek at their stats and figure out who you like best. All of them have the potential and should make your team shine.

Best of luck this evening. If you need anything please do not hesitate to reach out. You can find us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and can catch us on the lam. That is right, the federales are chasing us for that highway robbery of a Milano pick last night! Absurd.
