NHL DFS Picks For December 6, 2021

Brady Tkachuk
VANCOUVER, BC - JANUARY 25: Vancouver Canucks Goaltender Thatcher Demko (35) makes a save as Defenseman Tyler Myers (57) defends against Ottawa Senators Left Wing Brady Tkachuk (7) during their NHL game at Rogers Arena on January 25, 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We felt confident going in on the Tampa Bay Lightning yesterday but did not imagine the level of destruction that would happen. The biggest gem of the evening was Brian Elliott who cleaned up with a 35+ save win for you and only let up one goal. Those are the wins we love to see.

There are only six games today so we will make this neat and tidy. We are going to start you with a little Ottawa Senators starter pack. One or two of these guys will be upgraded, but they represent a solid floor with a decent matchup against the New Jersey Devils.

Here’s a sicko lineup For DFS Hockey 12/6/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterJ. Norris$5,600
Center
WingB. Tkachuk$5,700
Wing
Wing
Defense
Defense
GoalieA. Forsberg$7,300
Utility

The base set is going to start out with a nice, cheap goalie. Anton Forsberg is highly unlikely to get a shutout and will certainly let in a couple goals, but the Sens are playing well right now and he should be finding more of a groove as the starter since Matt Murray was sent down to the minors. We have a good upgrade for him later.

Josh Norris must be so stoked to get Drake Batherson back on his wing. This is a very powerful line. It is worth considering taking all three of these guys. Norris is quietly a productive center who now has two vicious pit bulls by his side. This should be fun.

We make up most of the risk from the previous two picks by taking Brady Tkachuk who is very undervalued here. He has been tearing it up, scoring goals and hitting everything that moves. This line is a beast to play against.

Braden Holtby’s career since the Capitals won the cup has been a little all over the place. There was the unsuccessful stint in Vancouver and he somehow found his way down to Dallas. Surprising all of us Holtby haters he has made a nice resurgence in the middle of a goalie logjam. It’s the Coyotes, he should have a good night.

We will get to our big boy winger in a moment but we came across a couple of low cost centers that we are pretty excited about. We went after Alex Newhook recently and he made it happen for us. Colorado’s third line is sneaky good and full of studs. Yegor Sharangovich is not actually playing pivot right now, but is on the outside of Jack Hughes on the Devil’s second line. We are pretty sure his quiet year so far was from missing the newest Hughes brother. They work well together and should get it done tonight.

Jake Guentzel deserves so much more attention than he gets. His price surely reflects what he is worth but the NHL media as a whole just do not give him the time of day. He is over a point per game with more goals than assists. Elite.

It is not really a secret that Dougie Hamilton is a must add. He is bound to at least get you a shots taken bonus and more often than not is ending up on the scoresheet. This should be a pretty high scoring game and Dougie will have his hand in a couple.

Grab yourself an Anaheim Duck for a second defenseman. Cam Fowler and Jamie Drysdale are both fantastic options. This may be one of Ilya Samsonov’s toughest games of the year. The Ducks are on fire right now and are a very dangerous team.

The Vancouver Canucks finally cleaned house and their coaching staff and front office are now being operated by interim leaders. These types of shifts tend to energize teams and we are back on the Brock Boeser train. Opposite him on the Kings is Dustin Brown. We will not sugar coat it, we love Dustin. He has managed to elevate his game at an age where most everyone else has hung up their skates. Jakub Silfverberg maintains his above average talent level and is consistently producing these days. It may not wow you but he will find a way to help your team.

All of our Thanksgiving leftovers are gone but we still feel the spirit. Time to shift food focus and start looking at some holiday hams. Come on over to the Twitterverse (@FantasyDFSX) or do not. Up to you. Get those picks in and get ready for some great hockey. Later.
