NHL DFS Picks For December 4, 2021

The Anaheim Ducks are crushing it right now. This is one of our favorite things about this league. The parity is much closer than most fans would have you believe. They did end up losing to the Calgary Flames but they put up a few goals and only lost in the shootout. Did you take our guy Elias Lindholm? Just another goal we picked, no big deal.

The National Hockey League may be well balanced but there are some mismatches you should be taking advantage of today. We really wish the Panthers game was not so early so we could go after them, but look to the Avalanche, Predators and Lightning to do the work for you today.

Here’s a rockin’ lineup For DFS Hockey 12/4/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterA. Matthews$9,200
Center
WingA. Ovechkin$9,600

Defense
Defense
GoalieA. Vasilevskiy$7,500
Utility

Why is Andre Vasilevskiy so cheap right now? Sure the Lightning are not absolutely dominating teams like they did last year but they are still crushing it. The Bruins have been a barely above average team and this will not be an easy game for them.

It has been two whole games since Alex Ovechkin scored a goal! That means he is due for like five. The Great Eight is climbing the all time goals list and will be passing Jaromir Jagr in a few weeks. Absolutely insane. We are lucky to witness the generational talent in action.

It is easy to pick the big names. Auston Matthews is just beginning his career and his name may end up near Ovi’s when all is said and done. The difficult part is affording them and crushing it with the names you do not know. Stick with us and we will get you all the glory.

Speaking of the new generation, go and grab a super cheap second center in the form of Cole Sillinger or Tim Stutzle. Both of these recent first round draft picks are thriving right now and will have some form of captainship in the next few years. We really cannot choose between them from a skill standpoint. Sillinger may have the edge because of the team he is on, but do not count out the Sens tonight.

If you took both of them you would greatly improve your budget but let’s get right into some other cheap wingers. Kaapo Kakko and Logan O’Connor are great adds right now. We talked about Logan when he got moved down the lineup and the fact that he is still likely to produce. He got an assist so we are on track there. Kakko is still finding his way, but do not hold him too accountable. He is still super young and the pressure put on him has been too much. He will make his way.

We should probably give you a couple ideas on solid defensemen for the day and not cheap out too hard on them. Moritz Seider is probably a little too expensive for what he is, but man can this kid play. He is a rookie of the year nominee and everything is as advertised. Thomas Chabot is one of those guys we want to take more often but the numbers are not always there. He has a tough matchup tonight against the Avalanche but it just might mean he absorbs more shots than actually taking them.

Anthony Beauvillier and Brock Boeser are the little engines that could. Or can. They will do! Both of their teams in general are not at their best, but much of that has been out of their hands for various reasons. Those issues are clearing up and we expect both of them to start producing more sooner rather than later.

The weekend is upon us and it is time to relax. Open up a Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) tab and see what else we have going on here. Take it easy and have a great Saturday.
