Our goalie picks have been a little off the board but they have been hitting! Martin Jones came up huge for us last night and we are happy he is in the Flyers good graces. We will be going a little more conservative today with a pretty convincing first choice and a secondary one if you are feeling spicy.
Our thoughts also go out to all the World Junior participants who had their tournament cut short. It is pretty appalling that the organizers did not seem to at all care about the pandemic that is still raging around us and that has cost these kids a rare opportunity. Let’s hope they figure it out next year.

Jacob Markstrom has had about one bad game this season and it was his last one. He is sporting a ridiculously low goals against average and has been a godsend to a perennially underachieving Flames team. They have a great matchup against the Seattle Kraken and will be looking to put the last match behind them.
The photo of Sebastian Aho in an elf costume was a little creepy and only because he kind of looks like one. The young Finn is building a career that could see him win many accolades and maybe the biggest prize of all before it is done. He is super talented and is surrounded by even more.
A lot of folks will probably fade Aaron Ekblad today due to his 26 minute 0 fantasy point performance. We did tell you to go after Mackenzie Weegar who got you a goal if listened. Weegar is the cheaper play here but we are feeling the needle move back to Ekblads corner.

One of these days we will take both brothers but we are leaving Brady on the bench today. Matthew Tkachuk is a vicious competitor and is the heart and soul of Calgary. A lot of his teammates are on the quieter side but his whole life has been in the spotlight with his Hall of Fame father Keith.
Round out your wingers with some of these selections. Alex Tuch, Andrew Mangiapane, and Cole Caufield. We took Rich yesterday and he got us an assist. We know he has more in the tank and we love the pairing with Tage Thompson who is quickly seeing his price rise. Mangiapane and Caufield are just little engines that do not stop. The time in Laval seemed to help Caufield and we are glad that the Habs did not rush his development. Mangiapane saw his torrid start to the season cool off but he is still an important piece who contributes every night.
Mario Ferraro looks good with an A on his chest. We keep forgetting how young he is to already have that leadership and clout about him. He is strong and has made the Sharks lives much easier as he is willing to dish out the pain.
The New York Islanders are a bit of a mystery this year so we do not pay as much attention to them as they deserve. We have seen Jean Gabriel Pageau bounce around the lineup and it seems as though he has landed a little higher than normal. He was always a bit buried on the third line and we expect he will flourish with the extra ice time.
If you swap out Markstrom for Jonathan Quick you will be able to afford a much nicer second center or upgrade elsewhere. Not many will be taking the Canucks opponent since they are undefeated with the new coach. Quick also had a rare bad game recently. Put that aside, the Kings need themselves a win tonight. Plus, we really want to put Claude Giroux in our lineup.
