The NHL continues on and we have some games for you today. Playoff pictures are starting to clear up and everything else gets more muddy. We will be mostly focusing our energy today on the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights and then a little bit from everyone else. Nothing is jumping out at us as a 100% knock it out of the park pick to win, but those two have the best chances.

Here’s a sunny lineup For DFS Hockey 12/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)

We are happy to go back after Tristan Jarry so soon after our first time of the season. The big thing here is the opponent. The New Jersey Devils are on a big skid right now and the Penguins should clean up nicely. He is the most expensive so we will have a cheaper one behind the curtain.

As predicted, Max Pacioretty’s price has skyrocketed to finally meet his value. We love him and Alex Ovechkin but it is just a bit out of comfort zone right now. Instead we are going after long time favorite Kyle Connor. He has not scored in a couple games which is very much not his style.

Dougie Hamilton has finally hit a wall. He may bounce back quickly but currently his price is too high. We are instead opting for Alex Pietrangelo. It is a more modest price against a pretty weak team in the New York Islanders. Both will get you peripherals, let’s see who gets the big points.

Here Is What You Get If You Sign Up For $99 For Six Months

Jonathan Quick is having a resurgent year. The 35 year old is far away from his Stanley Cup wins but he is still a rock in net. With Cal Petersen out for a minute, the Kings will rely on Quick to dig deep against a Caps team that is racking up IR players.

If you are looking to afford a Crosby or Scheifele you will want to find the best bang for your buck in your second center. It is not all doom and gloom in Jersey and Jack Hughes has been bouncing back nicely after missing time this year. Chandler Stephenson also offers the usual upside and is a great way to tap into some of Pacioretty’s value.

Dipping back into Pittsburgh we are eyeing Kasperi Kapanen. He started the year off strong, cooled off a bit, but is back on it right now. He is getting lots of shots which is always a good indicator of how a guy is playing. The goals will come.

Our bargain of the day is going to be Scott Mayfield. There is one good thing about teams that are not doing well, they need guys like Mayfield to absorb as many shots as possible. Super high floor for this guy and he is getting more minutes than usual with other defensemen being out.

Our last couple utility choices are going to be old faithful Andrew Copp and rare find Ryan O’Reilly. We do not need to go into why we would take Copp but O’Reilly deserves a moment. The captain of the Blues has been having a bit of a quiet season and not the one that he wants but he has five points in the last five games and we are feeling good about him.

It’s our cheat day. Lots of football. The Steelers v Titans is about to start and we have some picks to make. Are yours in? Find links to our awesome NFL writers over on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). Have a good gone.
